5 Procedurefor Submitting Abstracts Online How to submit an abstract via the Web? 1. Prepare the body of your abstract as usual, using some form of word processor. 2. With your forms-capable Web browser, go to the AMS Web site at the following URL: 3. When at the AMS homepage following these instructions for submitting your abstract: a) b) c) d) e) f) 4. Select the Conferences, Meetings, and Symposia option. Select the Online Submissions of Abstracts option. Select the conference in which you are interested. Read through the information provided to you about the conference. At the end of the brief conference description, Click on the New Paper button. Please follow the instructions provided for each step of the submission process. After you have completed the form and submitted it, you will receive verification of your submission. What if I dont have Web access? If you do not have Web access with a forms-capable browser, you should submit your abstract in one of the following ways (indicated below in order ofpreference). Please use ONE of these methods only if you do not have Web access. 1. Mail your abstract on a diskette to The Conference Exchange, 35 Thompson Hill Drive, Cumberland, RI Be sure to include complete contact information for the first author ( address must be included) and to clearly identify the conference to which the abstract is being submitted on a label affixed to the diskette if your. Please indicate the word processing system that was used to prepare the abstract. You should enclose a printout of the contents on the diskette as well. 2. your abstract to abstract@ametsoc.org.
