This guide includes an verview f why t cllabrate, levels f partnerships, hw t start a partnership, and a variety f resurces t sustain and deepen yur cllabrative relatinships Using NISE Netwrk s Explre Science: Earth & Space tlkits with the new Girl Scuts Space Science Badges Girls Scuts f the USA released new Girl Scut Space Science badges in 2018 fr Daisy (Grades K- 1), Brwnie (Grades 2-3), and Junir (Grades 4-5) girls. All f these badges encurage girl-led explratins f space science, highlight female astrnmer rle mdels, and fcus n cperative, hands-n learning by ding. Studies shw that cnnecting yung girls with psitive science experiences is the first step in a life f engaging scientific explratins. The NISE Netwrk supprts the Girl Scut gals f increasing science interest, cnfidence, cmpetence, and value fr the girls. Many f these girls may have heard the message that science is nt fr them; tgether we can be a vice that tells them they are welcme and encuraged t reach fr the stars. Activities frm the NISE Netwrk s Explre Science: Earth and Space tlkit can supplement, and in ne case satisfy sme f the requirements fr a Girl Scut t earn a Space Science badge. They can even imagine where they might like t send a NASA missin spacecraft in the future!
