(2 Marks) Plains, valleys, mountains, plateus Plains,: land fairly above sea level Plateau: an area of fairly flat land that is high above sea level. Mountain: land formation due to collision of crustal plates Valleys:the fairly level surface if the land but the river has formed a valley. Q2. Describe the consequences of a collision between the crustal plates. ( /05 ) Folds in the rocks near the edge of the second plate Cracks in the rocks which may result in the land rising or sinking creating block and rift valley Faults in the rocks where magma erupts and causes volcanoes and lava plateaux. Physical Weathering: This process breaks down rocks into smaller fragments without any chemical changes to their minerals.
