3 Organized by Ute Kaiser, 12 / 2017 December 12 to 14, The 3rd Sub-Angstrom Low-Voltage Electron Microscopy (SALVE) Symposium brings together distinguished scientists from all over the world to discuss low-voltage instrumentation and its applications. A particular focus will be given to the manufacturing of low-dimensional materials and the assessment of their properties by theoretical calculations. Various TEM techniques will be discussed - (S)TEM imaging, in-situ TEM, electron holography, cryo-tem and spectroscopy. Finally, challenges and prospects of low-voltage imaging of biologically relevant objects will be addressed. The 3rd SALVE symposium is part of a broader framework of events celebrating Ulm University s 50 year anniversary. Discussions at the symposium between the audience and the forty-seven invited speakers will create a unique scientific platform, which will further sharpen our understanding of the correlation between the atomic structure and material s properties. The symposium offers networking opportunities within the scientific community and with sponsoring institutions. The symposium is sponsored by:
