3 THE UNIQUENESS OF THE RECOVERY VERSION 1 The Recvery Versin A Unique Study Bible The wrd Bible cmes frm the Greek wrd bibls, which means the bk. This means that the Bible stands as the unique bk amng all the bks in the wrld. Althugh it was written by men in human language, it is unique because its nature is divine. The apstle Paul s wrd t Timthy tells us that all Scripture is Gd-breathed (2 Tim. 3:16). This indicates that the Scriptures did nt cme ut f man s thught, man s mind; rather, Gd breathed His thught and His wrd thrugh His Spirit int and ut f the writers. Thus, the Bible cntains Gd s elements and carries His flavr. The greatest blessing and jy in human life is t cntact Gd and taste Him thrugh the wrds f the Bible (Psa. 119:103). As the unique bk, the Bible is a bk f divine truth. The truths cntained in the Bible cncern Gd and His eternal plan, man and his destiny, Christ with His persn and wrk, the Hly Spirit in man s experience f Gd, the cmplete salvatin f Gd fr man, the church as Gd s crprate peple, the kingdm f Gd, and the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and new earth. The greatest blessing Accrding t the facts f histry, after and jy in human life is the writing f the Bible was cmpleted, ver the succeeding centuries the truths t cntact Gd and taste in the Bible gradually became lst r Him thrugh the wrds misunderstd. Fr many years the Bible was even lcked away s that the f the Bible. cmmn peple culd nt read it. In the sixteenth century, at the time f the Refrmatin, Gd began t recver the lst truths f the Bible. In the fllwing centuries, Gd used a number f His servants t prgressively recver the truths in His Wrd. Thse used by Gd in each generatin inherited the truths recvered by their predecessrs and went further t receive mre light frm Gd thrugh His Wrd. Eventually, at the end f the twentieth century the recvery f the biblical truths was essentially cmplete. The Recvery Versin is unique amng all f the study Bibles available tday. Mre than being an accurate and readable translatin f the biblical text, the Recvery Versin cntains additinal elements that

4 2 THE UNIQUENESS OF THE RECOVERY VERSION cnvey the full breadth f the divine truths breathed ut by Gd thrugh the riginal writers f the Bible and recvered by Gd s peple ver the past five hundred years. The utlines, ftntes, and crss-references in the Recvery Versin unveil the divine revelatin in the Scriptures and guide the reader int a discvery f the rich treasures hidden belw the surface f the printed pages. Nw, in the twenty-first century, the Recvery Versin stands ut as the Bible fr ur generatin. The Recvery Versin is als unique because it relates all the divine truths in the Bible t ne crucial matter the ecnmy f Gd. The Bible uses the wrd ecnmy t describe Gd s great enterprise in the universe, which is t dispense Himself int man s that He and man may be ne (Eph. 1:10; 3:9; 1 Tim. 1:4). Gd can be likened t a wealthy businessman wh has an enrmus amunt f capital. Gd has a business in this universe, and His vast wealth is simply Himself. Because Gd has the desire t distribute Himself with all His riches int man, He has a plan, a divine arrangement, a divine ecnmy. This ecnmy is the central theme f the Bible. The truths f the Bible are like the pieces f a The utlines, ftntes, jigsaw puzzle. In rder t interlck the scattered pieces f a puzzle crrectly, and crss-references we need t be guided by the picture n in the Recvery Versin the bx. Likewise, in rder t understand the varius truths in the Bible in their unveil the divine revelatin prper cntext, we need t lk at the in the Scriptures. picture n the bx f the Bible, that is, at the central theme f the Bible unflded frm Genesis t Revelatin. Everything Gd did in the past, is ding in the present, and will d in the future is fr the accmplishing f His ecnmy. The revelatin f Gd s ecnmy puts all the biblical truths int their prper perspective. The unveiling f the truth in the Bible frm the perspective f Gd s ecnmy is the fundatin f all Christian experience. It is Gd s desire that all men cme t the full knwledge f the truth accrding t His divine ecnmy (1 Tim. 2:4). We sincerely hpe that all Gd s seekers will benefit frm the unveiled truth in the Recvery Versin and, even mre, that the truth will becme their experience as their persnal reality.
