4 Function, section Directionl vlve type WE re solenoid ctuted directionl spool vlves. They re used to control the strt, stop nd direction of flow The directionl vlves siclly comprise of the housing (, one or two solenoids (2), control spool (), nd one or two return springs (). In the de-energised condition, control spool () is held in its centrl or initil position y mens of return springs () (except in the cse of impulse spools). Control spool () is ctuted y the wet pin solenoids (2). In order to ensure correct functioning, cre must e tken, tht the solenoid pressure chmer is filled with oil. The force of solenoid (2) cts on control spool () nd moves it from its initil position to the desired end position. This permits free flow from to A nd B to T or to B nd A to T. On de-energising solenoid (2) control spool () is returned to its initil position y return spring (). The optionl hnd override (5) permits control spool () to e moved without the solenoids eing energised A B "" "" Type WE 10 EX/CG2N9K TA A B TB Type.WE 10.X/OC... A Type.WE 10.X/OFC... (impulse spool), with detent (only possile with symols A, C nd D) This model is 2-position directionl vlve with 2 solenoids nd detents. Hence, when the solenoids re de-energised, the spool is held in the detented position nd thus the solenoids do not need to e continuously energised. A crtridge throttle is required, if due to the operting conditions, flows cn occur, which re higher thn the permitted performnce limits of the vlve during opertion.
