5 Directionl spool vlve WE 5/14 Function, section Directionl vlves of type WE re solenoid-ctuted directionl spool vlves. hey control the strt, stop nd direction of flow. he directionl vlves siclly consist of the housing (1), one or two electronic solenoids (2), the control spool (3), nd one or two return springs (4). In the de-energized condition, the control spool (3) is held in the centrl position or in the initil position y the return springs (4) (except for impulse spools). he control spool (3) is ctuted y wet-pin electronic solenoids (2). o ensure proper functioning, cre must e tken tht the pressure chmer of the electronic solenoid is filled with oil. he force of the electronic solenoid (2) cts vi the plunger (5) on the control spool (3) nd pushes the ltter from its rest position to the required end position. his enles the necessry direction of flow from to nd to or to nd to. When the electronic solenoid (2) is de-excitted, the return spring (4) pushes the control spool (3) ck to its rest position. n optionl mnul override (6) llows the control spool (3) to e moved without solenoid energiztion. Without spring return "O" (only possile with symols, C nd D) his version is directionl vlve with 2 spool positions nd 2 electronic solenoids without detent. he vlve without spring return t the control spool (3) hs no defined sic position in the de-energized condition.
