Deprtment of Physis, Srinkhrinwirot University, Wttn, Bngkok 10110, Thilnd. E-mil: wrintorn.sut@gmil.om, w.treesukrt@gmil.om, ptipn@g.swu..th Astrt. Mssive neutrino is n evidene of new physis eyond the Stndrd Model. One of the well motivted new physis senrios is model with guged lepton flvor symmetry. We investigte neutrino properties in the miniml SU3 l SU3 E guged lepton flvor model. In this model, three new speies of fermions re introdued to nel guge nomlies. These new fermions led to see-sw mehnism for neutrino mss genertion. We impose the onstrints from perturtive unitrity in - sttering proesses, s well s urrent experimentl onstrints, to otin vile neutrino spetrum. We determine the lower ound, with the SU3 l guge oupling set to 1, on the lightest neutrino mss of ev for the norml inverted hierrhy. This is proeeding for Sim Physis Congress 018, My , Phitsnulok, Thilnd. 1. Introdution The neutrino hs long fsinted physiists. Even though the neutrino ws disovered in 1956 [1], little is known out its properties. The disovery of neutrino osilltion [, 3] estlished tht neutrinos hve mss, leit tiny one. This is in ontrdition with the Stndrd Model SM of prtile physis. Hene mssive neutrino is n evidene tht there must e physis eyond SM. Additionlly, SM ontins other theoretil puzzles: Why is the fermion flvor struture the wy it is? Why re there three fmilies of qurks nd leptons? Wht is the mehnism ehind very light neutrino? A promising frmework tht ould explin these puzzles is the one in whih flvor is promoted to guge symmetry [4, 5]. Thus, flvor struture is tied to the dynmi tht reks flvor symmetry, nd the numer of fmilies is relted to the size of their representtion. Sine our min interest is the neutrino, in this work we will fous on the guged lepton flvor symmetry of Ref. [5]. We will tke the lepton flvor symmetry to e SU3 l SU3 E whih ts on the eletrowek lepton doulets nd singlets respetively. The guging of lepton flvor introdues new guge nomlies whih must e neled. This requires 3 extr sets of fermions to e introdued. One of the new fermions ts s right-hnded neutrino whih then genertes smll neutrino mss vi see-sw mehnism [6, 7]. The purpose of this work is to study neutrino properties in the frmework of the SU3 l SU3 E guged flvor symmetry.. The Model In order to suessfully guge SU3 l SU3 E flvor symmetry, two slr fields flvons, Y E nd Y N, nd three fermion fields E R, E L nd N R re introdued. Their trnsformtion properties
2 Tle 1: Trnsformtion properties of SM, extr fermions nd flvon fields under the eletrowek the first two rows nd the lepton flvor ottom two rows guge group. l L e R H E R E L N R Y E Y N SU L U1 Y -1/ -1 1/ SU3 l SU3 E re listed in Tle 1. Their intertions re enoded in the Lgrngin L i ψ [ /Dψ + Tr D YD Y ] + L Y uk + V H, Y E, Y N, 1 where ψ re the fermion fields nd Y the flvons. D is the ovrint derivtive, e.g. D N R = + ig l A l N R, D Y N = Y N ig l A l T Y N ig l Y N A l, where A le = A le, T with T the SU3 genertor. For definiteness, we tke T to e hlf the Gell-Mnn mtries. The Yukw intertions nd fermion mss terms re L Y uk = λ E l L HE R + E E L e R + λ E E L Y E E R + λ ν l L HNR + λ N N R Y NN R + h... 3 Both eletrowek nd flvor symmetries re roken spontneously y kground of the slrs H v + h/, Y E Y E + φ E /, Y N Y N + φ N /. 4 The mss mtries for the hrged nd neutrl leptons re 0 λe v/ 1 0 λν v/ + h.., E λ E Y E λ ν v/ + h.., 5 λ N Y N where eh entry is 3 y 3 mtrix. Both mss mtries re in typil see-sw form. Tking Y E v, E nd Y N v, we find the mss mtries for the light leptons, m lν, nd the hevy leptons, M EN, stisfy M E λ E Y E, m l M E λ E E v/, nd M N λ N Y N, m ν M N λ νv /. 6 Working in the sis where Y N is digonl, we dedue Y N λ νv v v v dig,, λ N m ν1 m ν m ν3, Y E λ E E λe U dig v m e, v m, v m τ U, 7 where U is the lepton mixing mtrix. Without loss of generlity, we tke m ν1 < m ν < m ν3. Thus N 1 N 3 is the heviest lightest hevy neutrino. M The mss mtrix of the flvor guge osons is in lok digonl form ll MlE where M ll = g l [ Tr + Tr Y N {T, T }Y N + Tr Y E {T, T }Y E + Tr Y N T T Y N T + Y N T T Y N T ], M le = M El = g l g E Tr T Y E T Y E, M EE = g E Tr M El M EE Y N {T T, T T }Y N Y E {T, T }Y E. 8

We will impose perturtive unitry onstrint on the - sttering proesses to otin the vile prmeter spe. Suh method proved fruitful in onstrining the Higgs oson mss [8, 9] or the mss of the dditionl Higgs osons [10]. In prtiulr, we will fous on A L A L A L A L proess where the susript L refers to the longitudinl polriztion. The relevnt Feynmn digrms re shown in Figure 1. The sttering mplitude is expnded in prtil wve s M = 16π J J + 1 JP J os θ where P J x is the Legendre polynomil of order J nd θ is the sttering ngle. Unitrity of prtil wve mplitude requires J 1 nd Re J 1/. Eh Feynmn digrm ontriuting to A L A L A L A L gives n mplitude tht grows with the enter-of-mss energy, s. Guge invrine ensures tht the s nd s growth in the full mplitude nels. We will fous on the s 0 prt of the mplitude. In prtiulr we will onentrte on the J = 0 prtil wve mplitude. Tking the s limit nd sutrt off the divergene in the forwrd diretion, we hve 0 = gl f 4 A A A + 4 A A A + 10 A A + A A A A 8 A + 8 A A A A A, 11 where only the index is summed over, f is the SU3 struture onstnt, A is given in Eqution 9 nd we hve dropped terms suppressed y O1/s. For the se = ±, we hve T + = s α T 3 + α T 8 nd T = α T 3 s α T 8. Sine the prtil wve mplitude is rel for ny,, we impose the onstrin Re[ 0 ] 1/. 4.
