1 Technical Cmmittee Nise within the Eurpean Acustics Assciatin EAA Minutes f the 11 th Meeting held n May 28 th, 2018, in Crete Time and Place The meeting was scheduled n May 28 th, 2018, frm 19:00 h t 20:00 h during the Eurnise 2018 Cnference in Rm 6 (Artemis), Creta Maris Cnventin Centre in Crete, Greece. Welcme Nte The chair Jian Kang welcmes the participants, and gives a ppt presentatin n Item 2 and Minutes f the previus meeting The minutes f the previus meeting were reviewed item by item. Actins were taken accrding t the items in the 2015 minutes. 3. Chair Reprt t EAA Bard: Review f Activities The chair Jian Kang reprts n activities. Regarding publicatins by TC Nise members, althgh n specific special issue in peer-reviewed jurnals were rganized, there have been a sereis f relevant actins, such as: Sundscape bk with a practical examples chapter, Hsanna and Snrus prjects with practical demnstratins. The Year f Sund initially scheduled fr 2019 shuld be rganised in 2020, if apprved. Jian Kang pints ut that mre inf abut the TC Nise shuld be reprted n the EAA website. 4. Initial feedback n Eurnise 2018, Greece Even if the Cnference was nly in its first day, it was already pssible t gather sme initial feedback. It was pinted ut that there are t many sessins with cmmn tpics running in parallel and smetimes cnflicting, everything cndensed in a single day the suggestin fr Eurnise 2021 is trying t avid such cnflicts by invlving EAA-TC chairs in the preparatin f the technical prgramme. It was suggested fr Eurnise 2021 t avid venues/facilities where there are ther activities (e.g., peple n hlidays). It was suggested that certificates f attendance shuld be delivered n arrival/registratin f participants (nt at the end f the cnference) in the welcme bag It was suggested fr Eurnise 2021 that TC meetings shuld be advertised in the verall prgramme (with times and lcatins) as per any ther sessin. ACTION: Jian Kang will EAA bard and Eurnise 2021 technical cmmittees.

3 5. Review f TC Nise: Visin The EAA bard made the recmmendatin t renew the current structure f the Technical Cmmittees. ACTION: Jian Kang will circulate abve mentined infrmatin t all relevant peple and peridically write t Actin Grups leaders t get reprts and feedback. 6. Future Activities and Events The key pints are included in the Chair s presentatin in this TC meeting. The main pints f discussin with crrespnding ACTIONS t take are reprted belw. The fllwing items have been identified as Actin Grups Wind turbine nise ACTION: Brigitte Schulte-Frtkamp shuld Stephen Cper t see if he wants t lead a wrking grup and pssibly edit a Special Issue n Acta Acustica. Sundscape Standard ACTION: Brigitte Schulte-Frtkamp will frm a wrking grup and reprt back t TC fr fllw-up CNOSSOS methd ACTION: Gijsjan van Blkland will fllw up and reprt n it. Cnstructin nise ACTION: Krister Larssn will take a lead t frm an Actin Grup and reprt back t TC. Indr sundscaping ACTION: Papatya Nur Dkmeci Yrukglu will frm an Actin Grup and reprt back t TC. Nise in Care Facilities ACTION: Hui Xie will lead this initiative and crdinate sme ptential cllabratin with the TC Rm Acustics (apprach Arianna Astlfi). 7. TC cuncil TC Nise nminated/elected a new TC vice-chair during the current meeting. Mrever it was decided t establish new/revised TC Nise Actin Grups with crrespnding leader and the leaders f such grups t be included in the TC Nise Cuncil. [Fr the new structure f the TC Nise, see the appendix f these minutes] Brigitte Schulte-Frtkamp prpses André Fiebig t take ver n her rle as being a vicepresident there is nw a cnflict fr her. André Fiebig intrduces himself stating he wuld be delighted t supprt the TC activities and pinting ut has already a similar rle fr the German Acustical Sciety (DEGA). All participants supprt this prpsal with n exceptins, therefre André Fiebig is elected TC Nise vice-chair. Jian Kang cnfirms Francesc Aletta t be Secretary fr the TC.

4 Jian Kang prpses that the TC Cuncil is frmed by Chair, Vice-Chair, all Actin Grups leaders and the Secretary. All participants agree n this. 8. Next Meeting Next fficial meeting will be held during Eurnise 2021 in Prt (Prtugal); it was nnetheless suggested t have sme sub-grup meetings, in the activities mentined abve. 9. AB Members questin hw t manage the TC list f members nline, als in view f recent changes in data prtectin and management EU legislatin (May 25 th, 2018): ACTION: Francesc Aletta t apprach the EAA webmaster t ask and reprt back t TC. End f Meeting Jian Kang express his thanks t all fr having cme and having cntributed and invite the audience t staying and getting invlved by actively supprting the wrk f the TC Nise. The meeting was clsed at 20h00.
