26 Preparing for the Written Midterm Exam One page will have a copy of figure 6 on page 272 of Seven Daughters. Be prepared to note where each of the clan mothers probably lived, and the percentage of contemporary Europeans descended from each, on the figure, and write 2-3 paragraphs on what of any three of their imagined lives reveal about the deep past of humans in Italy and/or elsewhere in Europe.
27 Preparing for the Written Midterm Exam One page will have either the figures on p. 103: the south side of Bottaccione Gorge, and p. 140: stratigraphy of the mountains of St. Francis; or the figures on p. 122: a cross section of the landscape from Gubbio to the Burano Gorge, and p. 214: a deep seismic cross section of the landscape between the Tiber River the Burano Gorge.
