5 Previous Work The Misty lake property was staked to assess the PGE potential of poorly known mafic ultramafic rocks of the Ossok Mountain Intrusive Suite. The PGE potential of these rocks has been recognized by several workers including, James (1994) and Saunders (2001, 2002), however, systematic geophysical surveying was never completed. Buchan s River Ltd staked and prospected three separate licenses in 2001 and 2002 in order to assess the PGE potential of the Ossok Mountain Intrusive Suite (Saunders 2001 and 2002). Previous mapping results completed in the region by the Government of Newfoundland had identified the Ossok rocks as having high potential to host PGE mineralization (James, 1994). Brilliant Mining Corp s staked the area in 2005and their best results were obtained from the western claim block where they identified sulphide-bearing ultramafic rocks in outcrop and float. Their highest assay yielded g/t combined precious metals were obtained from a 2m wide pyroxenite float carrying disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and pentlandite (Saunders, 2002). Although further work was recommended, the claims were allowed to lapse. The Misty lake property was staked by Brilliant Mining Corp. primarily based on the results generated by Buchan s River Ltd during 2001 and Prospecting and airborne geophysical results on the misty lake claim blocks during 2005 suggest the property has a high potential to host PGE-Ni-Cu mineralization. Prospecting has confirmed the presence of PGE s in the north part of the claim block that were originally reported by Buchan s River Ltd in 2001 and airborne geophysics over the area helped map out the extent of the prospective parts of Ossok intrusive rocks. A second area on the property that is centered at N, E may also have potential for PGE mineralization. At this locale the margin of an Ossok intrusive body is roughly coincident with elevate conductance that is crosscut by a significant Northwest trending structure that has anomalous PD and Cu lake sediment values. 4

6 Geology: The Misty Lake property is underlain by a highly deformed and metamorphosed intrusion of the Ossok Mountains mafic intrusive suite and its paragnesiss host rocks. The intrusion comprises mafic rocks(leucogabbronorite, gabbronorite, melagabbronorite) and ultramafic rocks(harzburgite, olivine,websterite, )Exposure is very poor through most of the area, which is covered by hummocky Pleistocene moraine deposit up to 10 or 20 meters thick. Along the western edge of the intrusion the moraine was largely removed by bedrock. Glaciofluvil sand and gravel deposits related to this channel system have been limit. The moraine deposit is absent in some areas tens of meters across, leaving instead a relatively thin ground moraine within which angular frost-heaved boulders appear to represent the local bedrock. Mineralization Anomalous concentrations of Ni, Cu, Pt and Pd were reported last year in assays of grab samples of ultramafic rock taken from float and outcrop on the Ossok West property. I visited the sampling locations and observed in one case a boulder several meters in size with a prominent rusty coating - on fresh surfaces this rock is seen to contain cm-sized patches of net-textured pyrrhotite enclosing serpentinized olivine. The rock as a whole contains less than 1% sulfide, though the small patches locally contain upwards of 25% sulfide minerals. The assay returned for a sample from this boulder contained 1123 ppm Ni (Carpenter, 2006). This is the same boulder in which flattened leucocratic inclusions were observed. Another boulder shows streaks of green malachite bloom along fractures, indicating the presence of minor chalcopyrite in the unweathered portions of the rock. The assay for this boulder contained 696 ppm Ni, 3262 ppm Cu, 760 ppb Pd, and 200 ppb Pt (Carpenter, 2006). I visited other occurrences of ultramafic outcrop that were reported to contain anomalous metal concentrations - the sulfide mineralization is present in trace amounts and the rocks are not notably covered in gossan. An occurrence of ferricrete was observed along the western contact of the intrusion in a sandpit on the south side of the Trans-Labrador Highway. At this Locality the Pleistocene sand deposit is cemented by iron oxides to form friable, dark reddish-brown sandstone. 5

7 Synopsis The ultramafic rocks are traversed by mafic dykes and are occasionally seen as Inclusions in the mafic portion of the intrusion, indicating that the emplacement of mafic and ultramafic rocks overlapped in time. It is impossible to map the exact distribution of the ultramafic rocks, but it is evident that they form one or more podiform masses entirely Enclosed within the mafic intrusion, as schematically illustrated in the accompanying map (Figure 9). The ultramafic rocks are clearly cumulate in nature, and can be interpreted as Accumulations of olivine and pyroxene from the primitive magma that fed the entire Intrusion. The mafic liquid with which the ultramafic cumulates equilibrated is no longer Present, which means that they formed in an open system. In my interpretation, the present map pattern of the ultramafic pods is a horizontal cut through a steeply inclined pipe-like body of ultramafic cumulates formed in a flow-through system that served as a conduit for the mafic magma that fed the gabbronorite intrusion. The presence of leucocratic inclusions in the ultramafic rocks and also within the gabbronorite indicates that the feeder system was emplaced through highly brecciated paragneiss and had ample opportunity to assimilate its country rocks, some of which are rich in sulfide. The results of the airborne geophysical survey are consistent with the interpretation That the ultramafic rocks are a mineralized feeder conduit. There is not a substantial high in the total magnetic field in the area of the ultramafic rocks, but they coincide with a broad anomalous conductivity which might result from the presence of poorly-connected magmatic Area of sulfide mineralization. I am not qualified to interpret the geophysical survey results in except in a qualitative manner, so I cannot comment on the amount of sulfide mineralization represented by the observed conductivity anomaly. The paucity of exposed sulphide mineralization is somewhat discouraging, but it is 6

8 noteworthy that the areas underlain by the strongest conductors are not exposed in outcrop.. In summary, the overall geological environment at Misty Lake is highly favourable fort the generation of magmatic sulfide mineralization. There is a structure that I consider to be a probable ultramafic feeder to a large intrusion, close to the contact with metasediments that locally contain high sulfide concentrations. The interpreted feeder is known to contain minor amount of sulphide and has a geophysical response suggestive of moderate sulfide content throughout a large volume of rock. (Craig Finnigon 2006) The claim blocks and surrounding area contains a high area of anomalous conductivity interpreted to be from bedrock sources which was gathered during an airborne Magnetics and GEOTEM survey conducted by Brilliant Mining Corp in No work was done on this area at present as it was decided by brilliant to work on the anomaly to the west. One of the objectives for this year was to do further follow-up on these anomalies by: Work During the 2013/2014 season are as follows : Traditional prospecting has been done in the area to try to find the source of bedrock. Lake sediment samples had been taken. A lot of research was done reading and deciphering the information which was collected by both Brilliant and also Buchan s from the times which they had the area claimed. I have also had the maps of the claim area Lake Sediment Maps come from the NL Government for the Area for Copper, and Nickel. Back when these samples were collected by the Government they were never tested for PGE. If this was done back then I am sure they would have created a lot more interest into this area. I have also looked at the Regional Geology maps for this area, Based on what I have seen this is a very complex area to follow. I have talked about this Area with Phil Saunders and Also Dale O Riley with the NL Government. The complication of the information on this area is ongoing. What do hinder this area for prospecting is the amount of glacial till which is around. It is a job to follow and find bedrock. There has been some great samples collected in bedrock with some great results. This area really do warrant more work in a couple of ways one is to map and find the source of the PGE boulders, and the other is to further investigate the copper in the bedrock, native copper had been found along with malachite. This creates great optimism for further prospecting this coming year. 7

9 There were 20 samples collected: 9 rock samples; ; 11 lake sediment samples; All these sample locations are shown on the attached Sheets. There results of the anomalous samples are listed below. There were 4 Rock samples with anomalous results All samples were elevated in various minerals. Black Norite: Boulder - BE ppb Pt, 412ppb Pd, 0.19% Ni,2035 ppm Cu, 583ppm Cr 134ppm Co. Bedrock: Gabbro/Granite BE-01, 7659ppm Cu, 14ppb Au, 119ppm Co, 70ppm Ni, >220ppm Sr. Bedrock: Gabbro/Granite-BE-05, 7227ppm Cu, 33ppb Au, 34ppb Pt, 95ppb Pd 144ppm Ni. Bedrock: Gabbro/Granite BE-02, 6635 Cu, 58 ppb Au, >10% Fe, >220ppm Sr. The 11 lake sediment samples, some of the samples show elevated values of Pt, Pd, Au, Cu, Zn, Ni. CM-01 5ppb Pd, 49ppm Zn, 86ppm Cu, 17ppm Ni. CM-02 6ppb Pt, 10ppb Pd, 69ppm Zn 164ppm Cu, 38ppm Ni. CM-03-4ppb Pd,35ppm Zn, 46ppm Cu, 22ppm Ni. CM-04-7ppb Au, 41ppb Pt, 7ppb Pd CM-05 6ppb Au,71ppb Pt, 5ppb Pd CM-07-17ppb Au, 18ppb Pt, 2ppb Pd CM-08-7ppb Au, 63ppb Pt, 5ppb Pd Conclusions and Recommendations for the next season 2014/2015 With the information I collected this year, I would recommend a follow-up on the area of bedrock where we had the high Elevated samples. Check out other areas for bedrock, And should check out the areas were the lake samples with the anomalous values. One other thing what needs to be done is to trace the boulders with the very high values to try and find the source of bedrock. Some Geophysics should be done to map out the conductor areas. VLF EM-16 will be used. 8

10 2014/2015 Season Prospecting work during this season did consist of traditional prospecting. Taking soil samples, rock samples and lake sediment samples, a couple of panning samples were also taken, hand drilling samples were taken with a small drill. A em-16 line was completed which did indicate a conductor, this will have to be followed up on. Boulder tracing had also taken place to get a trend of the boulder. The most efficient way to do boulder tracing was the use of a snowmobile. I did travel to the North, South, East and West of the Claims to map out the perimeter of the boulders to help narrow down the area where the boulders may have came from. One important thing which I did realize is that the general trend of the boulders and the lake sediment which had high PGE results back in 2013 are trending the same way. Some of the soil samples also had anomalous results. Some of the bedrock samples also had results in platinum, palladium, gold, silver and copper although a low level of PGE mineralization it is in bedrock which may mean that the source of the higher PGE mineralization is nearby in a contact zone. This past year a discussion had taken place with NL Natural Resources Geophysics person Gerry Kilfoil about the pervious airborne survey which was done by others in the area. He did take a look at the survey and did determine that there are target areas to follow up on. I will be following up on these areas and completing more geophysics work and sampling in these areas to help find the source of the PGE/ Au copper/ nickel mineralization. Sampling Highlight Results. 11 Conclusion for The Boulder tracing trend do have to be followed up on as the boulders and lake sediments do have anomalous values and within the same general trend. This would lead one to believe the bedrock source of this area is not too far. The Airborne survey which do indicate some target area s to follow up on in search of the bedrock anomalous PGE/Cu/Ni. Bedrock has been found with low grade Cu, Ag, Au, PGE. This may not be the main source of the PGE/Cu/Ni mineralization but would indicate that maybe in general area.
