2 NNP Costing exercise Method Examined for costing NNP were MBB; One health and Activity based tool The recommended was activity-based costing (ABC), which required: defining major activities (cost centres) that are required to implement the program identifying, quantifying the necessary inputs to realised the set outcomes and targets Costing the inputs required to produce each activity; using an ingredients approach.

4 Stakeholder Mapping: Aims Overall Aim: The aim of the stakeholder and activity mapping exercise is to identify and document the landscape of nutrition actors across multiple sectors, their relevant activities, the available finance, and the interactions between different actors. This will help identify gaps and overlaps in intervention coverage. Specific Aims: i. To document who is doing what and where in the country and the status of those efforts ii. iii. To identify gaps and duplication in coverage of interventions To identify the gap in financing for nutrition interventions

5 Stakeholder Mapping: Outputs i. A programmatic, geographic and financial nutrition intervention data set produced. ii. A snapshot of the available finances for nutrition to estimate the financing gap for the revised NNP iii.matrices and maps showing who, does what, where to highlight duplication of efforts and identify gaps based on the revised NNP iv.to use this information to examine if and how commitment + resources + capacity = Results/ Impact for decision and policy makers.

6 Stakeholder Mapping: Scope & Findings Scope: 49 organisations sent questionnaire out of which all responded. A total of 35 are active in nutrition in Ethiopia Findings There is a strong focus on treatment of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) interventions, followed by Micronutrient and Women/Adolescent nutrition interventions. There are wide gaps in coverage of Nutrition & Infectious Diseases, School Health & Nutrition and Multisectoral interventions. The four main regions (Amhara (20), Oromia (23), SNNP Region (23) and Tigray (16)) have the most partners supporting nutrition interventions, followed by Somali (12) There are few partners working in Gambella (2), Harari (2), Benishangul Gumuz (3), Dire Dawa (3) and Addis Ababa (6). In terms of finance, School Health & Nutrition, SAM/MAM and IYCF have the most funding available, followed by Micronutrient interventions.
