Hydrulics EDC-P R 181-9/1.1 Principles of Opertion, Cross Section The sndwich plte design directionl vlve elements L88 re compct direct operted pressure compensted proportionl solenoid vlves which control the strt, the stop, the direction nd the quntity of the oil flow, with FLOW SHRING principle. These elements bsiclly consist of stckble housing (1) with control spool, two solenoids (), two return springs. Energized by n electronic feed regultor, ech solenoid () displces the control spool from its neutrl-centrl position proportionlly to the current received. When the spool is shifted nd the metering notch is open, flow delivery strts nd is controlled by wy pressure compenstor followed by check vlve for ech port nd. The compenstor, blnced by the LS pressure t the opposite end, lifts up nd unlods regulted flow which is sent to the (or ) port through the relevnt check vlve; t the sme time the opposite port llows oil return to tnk. LS pressure reches the compenstor ded end directly from the or port, while the check vlves lock eventul pressure oscilltions which could ffect the compenstor function. When the solenoid is de-energized, the return spring pushes the spool thrust wsher bck ginst the housing nd the spool returns in its neutrl-centrl position.
