Due to the design of the vlve spool nd the solenoids, switching shocks tht my occur when the vlves re switched on or off re drsticlly reduced. Depending on the version, switching shocks, mesured in the form of ccelertion vlues, cn e reduced y pprox. 85 % when compred with the stndrd vlve (see r chrt on pge 7). hese directionl vlves siclly consist of housing (1), one or two solenoids (2), control spool (3), nd one or two return springs (). In the de-energised condition, the control spool (3) is held in the centrl or initil position y return springs () (except for impulse spools). he control spool (3) is operted y wet-pin solenoids (2). o ensure proper opertion, cre must e tken tht the pressure chmer of the solenoid is filled with oil. he force of solenoid (2) cts vi plunger (5) on control spool (3) nd shifts it from its rest position to the required end position. his enles the required direction of fl ow, to nd to or to nd to. fter solenoid (2) ws de-energised, control spool (3) is gin pushed to its rest position y return spring ().
