2 Overall Risk Rating Previous Rating Current Rating Moderate Implementation Status Overview The power access and diversification project is a SDR 12.1 million investment, which includes a loan (IDA Credit in the amount of SDR 4.7 million) and two grants (IDA grant H5740 in the amount of SDR 4 million and IDA grant H7830 in the amount of SDR 3.4 million). The project supports the emergency purchase of Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) for power generation (IDA Credit 41200), the rehabilitation and extension of the power grid in PK12, Balbala and Arta (IDA Credit and IDA grant H5740), a smart metering pilot project (IDA grant H5740), and the setting up of petroleum security stocks (IDA grant H7830). The power access and diversification project benefited from a total extension of 5 years and the definite project closing date is December 31, The project has achieved most of its development objectives, including significant impacts such a providing access to electricity for 12,000 people. The project s overall disbursement rate is around 95 % (as of December 3, 2014).
