The Key Laboratory of Non2Wood Forest Products of State Forestry Adm inistration, Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Changsha , Hunan, China) Abstract: In order to avoid the great resource waste due to the discard of S an ta lum a lbum L. leaves, the Py2GC / MS was emp loyed to analyze the extractives from San talum album L. leaves. The results indicate that there are 118 compounds in the benzene / ethanol extractives from S an ta lum a lbum L. leaves, including 162hentriacontanone ( 8169% ), 11, 14, 172eicosatrienoic acid m ethyl ester ( 8149% ), hexadecanoic acid ( 5138% ), pyrazine (4101% ), cyclooctacosane (3189% ), phenol (3119% ), etc., and that there are 48 compounds in the acetone extractives, including lupan232ketone ( 39135% ), taraxasterol ( 7160% ), 2sitosterol ( 5138% ), taraxerol (3142% ), acetaldehyde (2137% ) and androstan262ketone2( 5 ) ( 2136% ), etc. It is thus concluded that the extractives from S an ta lum a lbum L. leaves contain rare medicinal materials and rare sp ices, and that the extraction by2p roducts can be used as not only top 2grade cosm etics but also biological energy. Key words: S an ta lum a lbum L. leaf; acetone extractive; benzene / ethanol extractive; Component; Py2GC /M S ( 37 ) Syn thesis Technology of 22M ethylpyr id ine Zou Hua2sheng Pan X ue2m in L in Gang ( School of Chem istry and Chem ical Engineering, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou , Guangdong, China) Abstract: This paper p roposes a novel synthesis technology of 22methylpyridine from acetylene and acetonitrile, and determ ines the op timal synthesis conditions by experiments. The results indicate that 22m ethylpyridine w ith a yield of 50188% can be p repared in the op tim al conditions, that is, an acetylene p ressure of 111M Pa, an acetylene dosage of g, a reaction temperature of 180, an organic cobalt catalyst dosage of 200mg and a reaction peri2 od of 12 h, that 22methylpyridine with a purity of more than 98% can be obtained after the filtration and batch dis2 tillation of the reacted solution m ixture, and that the p roposed technology is potentially app licable in industry due to its simp le operation and high yield.
