In recent years, HSCCC has been w idely used in research and development of traditional Chinese medicine, biomedicine, natural p roducts, functional foods and cosm etics, including separating natural active compo2 nents from p lant resources, develop ing standard reference material of natural components, fingerp rint analysis of tradi2 tional Chinese m edicine, and selecting and screening new natural m edicines. A review is p resented in this paper, on HSCCC separation mechanism, instrum entation, operation, and its app lications in TCM research.
