Gravity is the force that keeps us on the ground instead of floating off into space. The Moon has gravity, but because it is smaller than Earth, its gravity is weaker. If you were on the Moon, you would weigh less and could jump farther. On the Moon, there is no air to breathe. It is completely silent because there is no air to carry sound. It never rains or snows on the Moon. Astronauts and spacecraft that have explored the Moon have taught us much. Several countries continue to explore our Moon.
