Rainfalls f mderate intensity with islated heavy falls are als expected ver the Hill Trrents f D.G. Khan Divisin. WEATHER WARNING Due t unstable weather cnditins and significant mnsn rains there wuld be risk f flash flding in the lcal streams and nullahs f Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Eastern Balchistan and Kashmir during next 5 days. Peple living in lw lying areas alng the streams and nullahs are advised t remain careful during the perid. Islated heavy falls are als expected in Lwer Sindh (Karachi, Hyderabad, MirpurKhas Divisins), Lahre, Gujranwala, D.G.Khan, Bahawalpur, Zhb, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Kalat Divisins and Kashmir during the perid. Heavy falls may generate urban flding in Karachi and Hyderabad cities during next 24 hurs. GLOF ALERT Pakistan Metrlgical Department has issued a GLOF alert fr Gigit Baltistan and District Chitral KP; during the next 4-5 days a severe weather system is likely t persist in GB and Chitral having the ptential t prduce a GLOF particularly sites f PMD's pit GLOF sites f Bagrt, Bindgl and Glain valleys. Lcal cmmunities are advied t remain alert and take necessary precautinary measures. Deputy Cmmissiner Chitral has been authrised t purchase and stck essential fd items wrth Rs. 1 millin fr distributin t affectees. Currently Rs. 20 millin is available in District Chitral Relief Fund. PDMA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has transprted 1,000 Fd Packs (40 tns)t District Chitral. District Chitral currently has enugh NFIs t cater fr its needs. 1x C-130 Aircraft carrying 7.5 tns f Fd Packs and Mineral Water frm NDMA has reached District Chitral while a secnd flight is planned tmrrw. 8 SINDH Annex-E 1. District Ghtki Precautinary evacuatins f 2,000 persns frm vulnerable areas. 2. District Kashmre Precautinary evacuatins f 107 families frm vulnerable areas. 3. PDMA Sindh has prvided the fllwing relief items t vulnerable districts:- Tents - 8,100 Msquit Nets - 7,200 Msquit Repellent Bttles - 17,200 Dewatering Pumps - 43 Water Tanks - 20 Bats PDMA Sindh Field Camp Office at Sukkur has been established. 5. Relief Gds like tents, de-watering pumps, msquit nets, etc have been prepsitined t riverine Districts f Sindh including bats. 6. The riverine Districts f Sukkur and Larkana Divisin have been directed t set up the tent relief camps.
9 Annex-F NHA ROAD NETWORK STATUS All rads fully functining, except the fllwing:- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bridge near Barze between km n N-45 has been repaired and traffic is plying. Heavy rain caused huge land sliding and mudflw between km. 401 t 437 n N-5 at fur different lcatins, rad clsed fr heavy traffic, hwever, light traffic is still plying. Heavy machinery already mbilized. Rad will be pened in cuple f hurs. Nrthern Areas At km n S-3, half-width rad is pen fr traffic,machinery mbilized at site t cater fr any eventuality. Falling f electrical ple and mudflw ccurred between Km n N35 frm 1000 hrs. t 1100 hrs. due t which ne-way traffic was mving during that hur. Nw traffic is restred 100% full width. Punjab Fllwing waterways / bridges have been cleared and n hindrance in flw f fldwater is being bserved. These waterways were cmpletely chcked but nw perating very well withut any hindrance after de-silting. These waterways / bays f bridges have been inspected by the team / cmmittee cnstituted by Gvernment f Punjab fr pre-fld arrangements: a. Smria Bridge n N-5 near Muridke at km b. NalaNangalSahdan n N-5 near Muridke at km c. DaikNala Bridge n N-5 near Muridke at km d. PulkhNala Bridge n N-5 at Wazirabad Bypass at km NOTE: As reprted by NHA field frmatin, cntractr all alng vulnerable pints have been put n alert alng with machinery t cater fr any emergency.
