3 RHMSS Short History : First meteorological measurements in Serbia were performed on January 1st, 1848 that date is assumed as the beginning of meteorological activities in Serbia; Organized network of meteorological stations was established in 1856, having 20 stations. In 1857 it was extended to 27 stations;

4 RHMSS Short History : The Belgrade Observatory was founded on March 26 th, 1887; The organized Meteorological service of Serbia was established on September 27 th, 1888, Republic hydrometeorological DAY; South-East European Virtual Center for Climate Changes (SEEVCCC) was established within the RHMSS in 2008;

5 RHMSS Short History: Hydrological service of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians was established in 1922, and that year is assumed as the beginning of the organized hydrological measurements; RHMSS was founded in 1947, during the Peoples Republic of Yugoslavia.
