V = Design Wind Velocity (mph) TESTING COMPLETED BY INNOVATIVE SITE SOLUTIONS Innovative Site Solutions performed load testing of the palm fronds, and have provided the results to Paul J. Ford and Company. The palm fronds were tested to determine the applied wind force at various wind velocities. The wind load was measured by a strain gauge placed at a distance (38") from the pivot point. The resulting wind force on the palm frond is calculated from statics.
