5 INTRODUCTION A program consisting of rock geochemistry and prospecting was undertaken on the Copley property during the summer of The program consisted of surface rock outcrop sampling by a crew of six prospectors. The program was conducted after encouraging results were obtained from a program run in late May, samples were collected and analysed by Acme Labs in Vancouver. Results obtained from the program continue to emphasize a large (2x8 km) interconnected system of lowsulphidation type epithermal mineralization, with anomalous base, precious and pathfinder elements hosted in pervasive and drusy silicification within multiple lithologies. PROPERTY The property consists of 15 mineral claims including tenure numbers: , , ,643704, , , , , ,768402, , , , , and The property is wholly owned by F. Crithlow of Kaslo, BC and S. Kennedy of Kimberley, BC. The property is currently under option to LOCATION AND ACCESS The property is located approximately 35 km south of the town of Fraser Lake, BC. The property is accessed by turning south off of the highway about 8 kilometres east of Fraser Lake onto the Holy Cross (100) FSR and driving south for approximately 45 kilometres. Numerous branch roads heading east from the main Holy Cross FSR provide access to various parts of the property. PHYSIOGRAPHY Elevation on the property ranges from 780 metres to just over 1000 metres. Topography is generally flat to moderate with some steep and cliffy spots, mostly on isolated knobs. Tree cover is primarily pine and spruce, virtually all of the pine is beetle kill and is either standing or has fallen over making for tedious hiking in areas of windfall. Small shallow lakes and swampy areas are common in the area. Most of the property has seen extensive clear-cut logging activities and is in various stages of regeneration. HISTORY The Copley Lake area has a limited documented exploration history. The area was first prospected in the early 1970s by current owner Fred Critchlow who discovered large zones of silicified volcanics with Fe oxide and sulphide mineralization, however the program of the time was aimed at identifying copper/moly porphyry style mineralization /alteration and the property was not pursued further (personal communication). In the early 1980s a program by Abo Oil Corporation of soil and rock sampling identified a number of anomalous areas for gold and mercury around a series of silicified rhyolite domes/knobs. The knobs are identifiable land forms in an east-west linear zone and are named, from east to west, Clan Hill, Middle Hill, and West Hill. Rio Algom subsequently spent a season mapping, trenching, and sampling the anomalous rhyolite domes. Results from this program returned anomalous gold, moly, mercury, antimony, arsenic, lead, and zinc values from across the property. The property Copley Property, Rock Geochemistry and Prospecting, 2010 Page 3

6 was dropped by Rio Algom and later staked by N. Kincade who completed a series of rock geochemistry and prospecting programs further delineating the zones of precious and base metals associated with silica. The property was again dropped and later acquired by Fred Critchlow in In May of 2010 a program of rock geochemistry and prospecting was run on the property further defining the anomalous areas. Targets identified from this program included the Smoking Pipe showing, an outcrop of silicified volcanics with clay/celadonite (?) alteration and multigram gold values. PROPERTY GEOLOGY Outcrop on the Copley property is comprised dominantly of felsic volcanic including crystal tuff, lapilli tuff, flow banded rhyolite, volcanic breccias, and some porphyritic andesite. These volcanics have been mapped as part of the Eocene Ootsa Lake Fm. There are some exposures of basalt that are probably part of the younger Endako Fm. The oldest rock on the property is a chert pebble conglomerate that is part of the Jurassic Bowser Lake Group. Intrusive rocks on the property are comprised of quartzfeldspar porphyry that is likely correlative with the Ootsa Lake group and Jurassic/Eocene(?) granodiorite. Measurements of flow banding, mainly from a series of silicified rhyolite domes, indicate a northeast strike with a sub-vertical to vertical easterly dip. This vertical fabric may indicate that the domes represent volcanic necks as opposed to a later tectonic event that tilted the pile. Many zones of brecciation and structure appear to be parallel to the stratigraphic trend. A northwest fault was mapped near the Smoking Pipe Zone where Jurassic conglomerate is offset against Ootsa Lake volcanic and intrusive. Evidence for an east-west structure is also apparent as a number of silicified rhyolite knobs/domes are aligned along this linear trend. A trending structural zone is inferred to cross the property because of preferred direction of streams, topography, and elongation of lakes in this general trend. ROCK GEOCHEMISTRY During the program 150 rock samples were collected and analysed by Acme Labs in Vancouver for a 31 element ICP by group 1DX3. A map showing sample locations with values plotted for Au is included in the sleeve. Sample results, locations, and descriptions are in the Appendix. On the Copley project samples were collected primarily from outcrops of highly altered material. Therefore each sample collected represents an anomalous area, perhaps not geochemically but geologically, this is an important feature in an area that lacks significant outcrop. For purposes of geochemical values 10 ppb Au is considered anomalous in this area, this is based on a large regional data-set collected by Kootenay Gold over the course of the field season of Other important anomalous elements in the Copley sampling included but are not limited to Mo, Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag, As, Sb, Ba, and Hg. The highest gold value from the program was from the Smoking Pipe area (CK ,14166 ppb). This sample was collected outside the area that had previously been worked on and extended the zone to the northeast 75 metres. A number of other samples contained anomalous gold values from this area. Copley Property, Rock Geochemistry and Prospecting, 2010 Page 4

7 Samples CK were taken from an area of altered porphyritic andesite and basalt with chalcopyrite fractures and blebs, epidote, chlorite, and k-spar alteration. They contained copper up to 0.39% and anomalous gold up to 44 ppb. Samples SAK were all collected from the Smoking Pipe area as follow up to the work completed in May, The samples were all indiscriminate grabs from around the locations that contained anomalous values from the previous program. Six of these samples contained multi-gram gold values (up to 6022 ppb), twenty of the samples contained values over 100 ppb Au. These samples were also anomalous in Pb, Zn, Ba, and Hg. Samples SAK were taken from an area 1 km south of Muskrat Lake. Samples were predominantly silicified rhyolite breccias and porphyry, some samples contained chalcopyrite and bornite (copper values up to 0.28%), hematite was ubiquitous. Gold values were weakly anomalous (up to 200 ppb) with elevated Mo, Pb, Zn, As, Sb, Ba, and Hg. Samples MK contained anomalous gold values up to 382 ppb. These samples were collected from silicified rhyolite outcrop and subcrop southwest of Clan Hill. MK had anomalous gold (53.5 ppb) and was collected from silicified rhyolite west of Clan Hill. MK10-313/314 contained anomalous gold (45,30 ppb) and were from the same area. Sample MK were collected from the Middle Hill-West Hill area and contained anomalous gold values up to 236 ppb. The majority of these samples were of silicified rhyolite breccias and aphanitic rhyolite. Many of the samples had highly elevated values for Mo, Pb, As, Sb, Ba, and Hg. A number of samples from the SK10 series contained anomalous gold, the highest being SK (977 ppb). 18 of the 33 SK10 samples contained weakly anomalous values for gold (above 10 ppb). Many of the samples contained highly elevated values for Mo, Pb, As, Sb, Ba, and Hg. These samples were all collected from the lower Clan Hill, Middle Hill, and West Hill area predominantly from silicified rhyolite breccias with green/yellow oxide and clay alteration. PROSPECTING Three days were spent traversing routes on the property collecting prospecting information as a reconnaissance effort to determine areas for further detailed work. A map showing prospecting traverses and field observations is included in the sleeve. The three traverses are discussed below. TRAVERSE ONE The first traverse was southwest of the Clan Hill target which was prospected in May The majority of the day was spent in rhyolite breccias with variable amounts of grey-chalcedonic quartz veining and barite. A number of locations had clay alteration, manganese and carbonate associated with more intense veining. Hematite (specularite) is also disseminated throughout the area and is likely part of the larger hydrothermal system. Towards the end of the day a hill of volcanic agglomerates that contained more intense veining and yellow staining (Mo/As?) was encountered and the second traverse was Copley Property, Rock Geochemistry and Prospecting, 2010 Page 5

8 started in this area as a follow up. Samples MK , and SK were collected from this traverse. TRAVERSE TWO The second day was spent west and north of the area looked at on the first day. Alteration and silicification weakened initially but began to intensify closer to the Middle Hill. Most of the day was spent in aphanitic/flowbanded rhyolite and breccias. The most promising looking zone was encountered near the base of a the Middle Hill where a breccia zone with strong veining, green/yellow oxide, pyrite, and moly was found. The zone was over an area of 25 x 25 metres. Further up slope near the top of the hill a zone of banded, barite rich, pyritic and yellow stained quartz veins was encountered. The zone of veining was up to 1 metre wide, striking to the northeast and shallowly dipping to the northwest. Samples MK , SK , and SK were collected from this traverse. TRAVERSE THREE The third traverse was spent going east from the Smoking Pipe showing towards the West Hill. The day was spent primarily in feldspar porphyry rhyolite. Weak chalcedonic quartz veining was ubiquitous as well as narrow hematite fracture fills. Numerous narrow zones of jasper were encountered. Samples MK , SK , and SK were collected from this traverse. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS During the summer of 2010 a program of rock geochemistry comprising 150 samples and a prospecting program totalling three traverses was completed on the Copley property in central BC. Results from the program continued to build on and emphasize the underexplored potential of a large interconnected mineralized system. Numerous zones of anomalous to multi-gram gold and silver were obtained from epithermal type quartz and altered volcanic rocks. Mineralogy of the samples seems to indicate a relatively high position in an epithermal system. This is consistent with quartz vein textures observed in the field. The system appears to be quite large (> than eight Km of strike and remains open to the east and west) and interconnected based on similar styles of mineralization, alteration, structure and lithology. The Copley property contains a linear zone of silicified, predominantly rhyolite knobs, measurements of flow-banding consistently returned steep to vertical dips and may indicate that the knobs are volcanic necks. The highest grade values were obtained from the lowest showing (elevation wise) on the property and may indicate that the silicified knobs are located above other similar targets. Property wide MoS mineralization may indicate the presence of a Mo porphyry system at depth. The summer program continued to demonstrate the size of the system as well as confirming the high values from the Smoking Pipe area. It is recommended that a detailed mapping and prospecting program be completed over the entire property. Cleaning and channel sampling the Smoking Pipe showing looking for structural controls of gold mineralization is warranted. Aerial geophysics would be extremely useful after mapping has been completed. If pyrite is associated with gold values IP could be used in flat areas of overburden adjacent Copley Property, Rock Geochemistry and Prospecting, 2010 Page 6
