Thank you for your great efforts in creating a strong kickoff for your parish and our diocese! Our 2017 PSA results reflect 10 parishes that are conducting capital campaigns and therefore, an inactive 2017 PSA (guaranteeing their goal) PSA totals will be lower due to 16% of our parishes with limited activity. As an aid for comparison, 2016 results for these 10 parishes have been removed from the 2016 numbers below to compare more closely. Rebates were processed today, March 31 and should show up in your account by Monday, April Incentive Program (attached): o Plan A - Based on new donors (individuals or families) that did not give to the PSA in 2014, 2015 or 2016, but who do participate in Reports for this donor pool with history in Raiser s Edge will be available May 1. o Plan B Lay Witness Speakers at all Masses during PSA Kickoff (proof must be provided) o Plan C - Showing of PSA Video (proof must be provided) o You have through October 31 to qualify for incentives. This year, the incentives will be awarded at the 2018 PSA Kickoff Event in December Parish website link to PSA online giving page: Please use the following links (English, Spanish,or VN) to right click and save the newest PSA logos that can be set up on your parish website as a link for direct donor access to the PSA online donation page. Check the current PSA logo on your website and update if an old logo is being used. It is recommended that you provide a convenient PSA link on your parish website for your parishioners. Donors can also make mobile online gifts by going to and selecting PSA. Raiser s Edge Passwords will change to end in Q2 beginning on Monday, 4/3.

2 Reminders: Send thank you letters to your PSA donors, sample wording on page 29 of PSA Guidebook (guidebook online at Thank you letters can be generated directly out of Raiser s Edge (call Yolanda Wright for assistance ywright@orangecatholicfoundation.org or (714) ). Send follow-up letters or s to those who have not yet participated this year ( communication is wellreceived and saves money on postage). Remember to include a PSA brochure and pledge envelope in your welcome packets for all new registered families. Show the PSA DVD at parish ministry fairs or other parish gatherings to keep the PSA message fresh and visible (additional copies available). Use a thermometer chart to keep your progress visible/consider making a sign or banner to post your updated progress using the thermometer chart artwork for more impact. 3 Proud to be Catholic Know Love Serve 2017 PASTORAL SERVICES APPEAL PARISH INCENTIVE PROGRAM Award Event at 2018 PSA Kickoff! Purpose To encourage more of the faithful to participate in the mission of the local Church of Orange, educating them about the ministries supported through the PSA and recognizing parishes showing exemplary efforts To significantly increase participation in the PSA counting increase in new donors for the 2017 PSA year. Plan A New Donor Families (have not given in 2014, 2015 or 2016) Every new donor (individual or family) that did not give to the PSA in 2014, 2015 or 2016 but participates in Must be gift of $25.00 or more and gift completed by 10/31/17. (Does not count for multiple family members giving separate PSA gifts from the same household.) (Example: 300 new donor families = $3,000) Award Levels $10.00/each Plan B Use of Lay Witness Speakers (in addition to Plan A or C) $300 award Any parish that uses Lay Witness Speakers during all Masses as part of their 2017 PSA Kickoff. Can use either parish lay speakers or diocesan ministry speakers (referrals on page 31. Must document by sending a picture or video.) Lay Witness Speaker guidelines can be found on page 32 of guidebook. Plan C Showing of 2017 PSA Video (in addition to Plan A or B) Show 2017 PSA video inside Church during PSA Kickoff (must document by sending a picture/video clip) $200 award Awards earned through the incentive program are in addition to any rebate earned over your parish goal.
