1 Two-Way Tables "Setting the Stage for Equity-Sensitive Monitoring of the Health Millennium Development Goals" Table of Contents Cambodia Child Health 1 Reproductive and Maternal Health.2 Dominican Republic Child Health 3 Reproductive and Maternal Health.4 Ethiopia Child Health 5 Reproductive and Maternal Health.6 Ghana Child Health 7 Reproductive and Maternal Health.8 Kenya Child Health 9 Reproductive and Maternal Health.10 Tajikistan Child Health 11 Reproductive and Maternal Health.12
2 Notes These tables are associated with a paper presented on November 3, 2004 to Task Force 4 (child and maternal health) of The United Nations Millennium Project, entitled Setting the stage for equity-sensitive monitoring of the health MDGs. The authors are Meg Wirth, Deborah Balk, Adam Storeygard, Emma Sacks, Enrique Delamonica, and Alberto Minujin. About the Data These tables are compiled from Demographic Health Surveys (DHS) of Cambodia (2000), Dominican Republic (2002), Ethiopia (2000), Ghana (1998), and Kenya (1998), and a Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) of Tajikistan (2000). All Values in the tables are percentages except mortality rates, which are per thousand births, and ages (at first marriage and first intercourse), which are mean values. Values based on less than 25 cases (250 live births in the case of mortality rates) are not shown. Values based on 25 to 50 cases (250 to 500 live births) are shown in parentheses. In some instances, values cannot be calculated for reasons other than small sample sizes (e.g., non-standard categorizations of strata cannot be combined into those shown here).
