1 Journal of Fuzhou University Natural Science Edition Vol 39 No 5 Oct 2011 DOI CNKI /N ~ km 1 km P46 TP3 A A geo - knowledge - based surface modelling of agricultural climate resources LU Yi - min 1 YUE Tian - xiang 2 1 Key Laboratory of Data Mining & Information Sharing of Ministry of Education Spatial Information Research Center of Fujian Province Fuzhou University Fuzhou Fujian China 2 State Key Laboratory of Resource and Environment Information System Institute of Geographic Sciences and Nature Resources Research CAS Beijing China Abstract In this paper we investigate methods to acquire and incorporate geoscience knowledge such as the way to transform geo - scientific knowledge into constraint or initial value of the models then put forward a novel surface model of agricultural climate resources which combine trend surface method with spatial interpolation Based on the air temperature data covering the period from 1951 to 2002 observed in 735 stations which obtained from National Meteorological Information Center in China the formulae included longitude latitude elevation and surface roughness used to estimate the annual mean temperature has been obtained The results with 1km 1km resolution in national scale show high accuracy and match the high and low temperature center correctly They imply abundant information and portray more details in the spatial distribution of annual mean temperature The values estimated by model are close to the observed true air temperature measurements in the whole study area Keywords geoscience knowledge trend surface method spatial interpolation agricultural climate resources annual mean temperature E - mail luym@ lreis ac cn J01268 XRC KF0008SA
