2 Origin Cluster was initiated and is coordinated by NANONET Foundation (organization devoted to promote modern entrepreneurship and popularize results of scientific researches). Silesian Nano Cluster is a bottom-up initiative, free of any external or governmental fundings, created out of the need seen on Polish market. Cluster was originaly funded by NANONET Foundation, City of Katowice, Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology, Institute of Non Ferrous Metals and University of Silesia. Since the foundation in 2013 Silesian Nano Cluster and NANONET Foundation is the most recognizable nanotechnological organizations in Poland.

4 Focus Networking organization and coordination of various activities facilitating the development of cooperation (conferences, workshops, B2S meetings) Support preparation of appropriate institutional and administrative conditions for ensuring the long-term economic succes Promotion of of Polish nanotechnology and its application amongst the society Commercialization creating the conditions for effective commercialization and knowledge transfer of the research and industrial/technological results of our partners Project Initiation and Coordination - joint R&D projects
