1 2012 Spring Tree & Shrub Seedling Sale Welcome to Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District's 2012 Tree & Shrub Program. Past customers will notice a 'down sizing' of sorts in this year's program and order packet. Although we are committed to the core goals of this program including offering affordable, locally adapted plants that beautify and enhance the local environment we have found the program in recent years to fall short of the fund raising goals we had hoped it would provide. Therefore, we have eliminated some of the 'accessory' items that are more likely to be available from established retailers such as nest boxes, flower seeds and ornamentals and focused more on economical bare root wildlife and habitat benefitting species. We hope these changes will allow us to continue providing conservation plants to loyal and new customers while controlling costs associated with delivering the program. As always, please remember that our program does not provide 'instant landscaping.' In addition to our planting stock, the recipe for success requires your patience and TLC. With these three ingredients, we are confident that your investment with us will bear fruit. Please visit ocsoil.org or ocsoilny.org to learn more about our other programming.
