That's when I star ted to get involved with Com m unities for a Better Envir onm ent. CBE r eally taught m e a lot about policy m aking. They took m e into the tr enches of gr assr oots wor k, seeing people dir ectly im pacted, connect with them, shar e our stor ies and see how we'r e connected. One of the solutions that we've been wor king on is im plem enting the Gr een Zone. The Gr een Zone is r eally im por tant because it's a pr otective zone for vulner able com m unities who suffer dispr opor tionately fr om clim ate change.
