2 INTRODUCTION Work is submitted for claims P and P of claim group OB-F, Little Township, Ontario. These claims are held "in trust" by Duncan R. Derry Limited, 401 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario. Ground geophysical surveys were carried out during March 1973 over an area of interest near important G.S.C. over burden drilling results. Scintrex Surveys Ltd. conducted the ground magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. LOCATION AND ACCESS (See Location Map attached) The claims are located in the west half of lot 9, Concession IV, Little Township, Porcupine Mining Division, approximately 24 miles northeast of Timmins. The property may be reached directly by helicopter from Timmins airport, or by 15 miles of township and lumber road north from Dugwal (on Highway 610) directly to the claim group. GEOLOGY (Ref. ODM Map P.698) The area is believed to be underlain by mafic metavolcanics cut in a NW-SE direction by the Reaume Fault, with rhyolites on the east side of the fault. A metavolcanic-rhyolite contact lies immediately northwest of the claims. No outcrop has been evidenced in the vicinity of the claims. PREVIOUS WORK In the G.S.C. undertook an pverburden testing programme in a large area between Timmins and Val d'or. Interesting values of copper and zinc in samples taken in the vicinity led to the staking of claim block OB-F. No assessment work has been filed for the immediate area of the claims, however 1969 ground geophysical surveys by Noranda located several northwest trending conductors. One of these on Deepex claim group OB-F was classified as an assumed conductor. To the east of claim group OB-F, Amax performed a horizontal loop EM Survey in 1972 but results failed to indicate any definite conductor. Barrington Exploration conducted EM and magnetometer surveys over claims southeast of claim group OB-F, in 1965, but DERRY. MICHENER ft BOOTH

3 - 2 - located only a northwest trending 400 gamma magnetic high. SURVEYS A grid of 2.2 line miles was cut with line spacing at 400 foot intervals from a kase line 1,600 feet long cut "at'~ NTS O * E.~ This grid was used for subsequent geophysical surveys. vu.-f, The geophysical surveys were conducted by Seigel Associates Ltd. on behalf of the Deepex Joint Venture. A Scintrex jvrev? trovh'-'/ti intensity Fluxgate type maane^pmafcgr - a Se in t r ex CG~2 gravity meter and a Scintrex SE-71 three frequency Turam unit were used (refer to attached sheets "instrument specifications' The Turam survey utilized a fixed source transmitter consisting of a horizontal 2,000 foot x 2,000 foot wire loop situated southwest of the base line, and two mobile receivers, each a wound wire coil, separated by 100 feet of cable. ) Magnetometer and Turam readings were taken at 100 foot intervals along each grid line. Out of a total of 109 magnetic and 90 electromagnetic readings, 60 and 57 respectively, were taken within claims P and P , For the magnetic survey, a base station at BL-32W was used after completion of each profile, tff check diurnal variation. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS In a report by Seigel Associates Ltd. to Duncan R. Derry Limited, dated September 1972, the survey results are given as follows: "The results show in general, background responses with the exception of some broad multiple responses near the end of lines 28W and 32W. This zone is striking E-W and open in these directions. Amplitudes are as high as 19% FSR and li 0 phase which refers to a conductivity-width value of 3 mhos. The axes of these conductors are located at a depth varying between! 100 and ISO 1. The total magnetic relief on this grid does not exceed 60 gammas and no particular magnetics correlate with the conductors. The latter therefore most likely reflect overburden conduction."
