PURVEY OK THE NI'COPOR PROPERTY IS'iRODUCTIQM The property, about 6 miles north of Schreiber, has been held by various people over the last 30 years. Access now, is best afforded by a trail from milage 3-1/2 on the Zenmac road. The trail goes northeast, over the hill to Rhea Lake and then along by a series of ponds and dried-up beaver ponds, to the property. The total walking distance is about 3 miles. HISTORY Nicopor Mines Limited was formed to explore the property in A lot of trenching and some short drill holes were done at that time. Falconbridge optioned the showing and the surounding ground in They conducted a broad interval, magnetometer and geological survey. The property was worked again in 1956 by New Anthona Mines, who did some more geological work and drilled four deep holes. Then in 1965 Zenmac did a detailed geological survey of the vicinity of the showing and drilled five short holes to test the mineralization. 'i Ha KAGNETOML-n'KK SURVEY The present survey was made in order to detail the local variations in magnetic response. The pyrite-pyrrhotite-pentlandite mineralization of the main showing is quite magnetic so that a detail survey might well be expected to outline other areas of interest in the vicinity* H. B. ft O. 2 Anomalous area "A" over the main showings, is much more intense than any of the others, but then it has the only exposed sulphides. 2. Anomalous areas "B" and "C", toward the east from 2200 to 2800 east, may in part reflect sulphide mineralization. 3. The mildly anomalous area "D", in the west part of the survey from 400 to 1100 east, may also reflect sulphides, but at some depth. l. Area "A" should be drilled in detail to establish the trend and grade in depth. 2. The vicinity of area B, C, and also D should be surveyed by the induced polarization technique. This would cost about #2500 or #3500, depending on whether local transportation and lodging was supplied or not. The three electrode array is suggested with a 200 foot spread. Every second line would be surveyed and they should be cut a bit longer to /\ enable 1000 feet of readings to be taken on each side of each magnetic anomaly. This boils down to doing lines 5, 7 b 9, 22, 2A, 26, 28 ft 30, and extending each of them an average of 1000 feet. The total line cutting will thus be about two miles. Respectfully subletted, H.
