2 Introduction to Terrestrial Ecosystem Information TEI Data Access 2
3 TEI defined TerrestrialEcosystem Information is: natural resource inventory data and information governed by Resource Inventory Standards Committee (RISC) standards Managedby Terrestrial Ecosystem Information Unit of the Ecosystem Information Section of the Ministry of Environment Information relating to ecosystems, soils, surficial geology, wildlife habitat and species distribution TEI Data Submission Training 3
4 TEI data are used to answer landscape level lquestions at a variety of scales TEI Data Submission Training 4
5 How is it done? TEI inventories are mapped using manual or automated interpretation of remotely sensed data augmented by field validation then capture and analyzed using GIS
