1 AUeventLIST for Common Alerting Protocol Australian Profile APPENDIX 2 TO CAP-AP CAP-AP EVENT CODES LIST (AUeventLIST) The event code list in Table 2- is proposed to be adopted in the CAP-AP Standard. The list reflects event codes that will be applied within the Australian Environment and that are commonly understood by the Australian community. This version supersedes all previous versions listed in the Table below: Tier I / Tier II column: Event codes designated in the Tier I column relate to a general descriptive code that can be used in an alert message, whereas the Tier II column provides more detailed codes that could be used to provide a more descriptive alert code. A CAP-AP message will include only one event code that is extracted from either the Tier I or Tier II column. Event Code column: details the machine-readable format of the event code that is to be applied depending on which code is selected from the Tier I or Tier II columns by the operator who is constructing an alert message. CAP Category Value column: is the general designator that the event code is to be categorised under. The master category list remains locked as per the Category element listed in the OASIS CAPv1.2 standard (p 17 of 47). Authority To Modify column: identifies the Australian authority who maintains responsibility to decide what event codes will be included in the CAP-AP. The current nominated authorities are listed in Table. Page 2-1
