Locate the 18 G white (100171), pink (100175), and yellow (100170) wires provided in the kit. s indicated by Steps through 5 below, route each wire from the connection board inside the motorized -way valve ( ) to the connection board. For PB Models Only: The connection board is located inside the junction box on the back of the unit (FIG. s & B). For CF/CH Models: The connection board is located inside the control panel on the front of the unit (FIG. ). NOTE: Lift the cover on the motorized -way valve to gain access to the connection board. Pump and motor unit are designed to be supported by the inline piping only. Do not support in any other manner. When placing pump between flanges, tighten flange bolts evenly and do not tighten excessively.

3 Pump sizing instructions See Table 1 for the pressure drop information at varying flows. Reference Tables and (depending on model) below for heat exchanger pressure drop information at varying flows. The boiler pump must be sized based on the boiler, flow, and head loss of your specific application. WRNING Pump must be properly sized to overcome the head loss of: (1) the boiler heat exchanger as detailed in Tables and ; () the valve as detailed in Table 1 and the equivalent feet of piping specific to each application. 4 Installation instructions Typical piping applications: 1. Install the motorized -way valve in the piping as shown in FIG s. 5 thru 8, depending on model.. Unit(s) high limit must be set at max.. Inlet and outlet connections to the boiler are shown for reference only. ctual connections may vary from those represented here. Consult the Installation and Service Manual for actual locations.. Unit(s) pump should operate only during firing periods. When there is no call for the heat, the valve will remain at its default position of 0 where it will be closed to bypass (the running time through the 90 going from closed to bypass to fully open is 0-0 seconds).. Observe the unit when there is a call for heat.. Check to see that the valve slowly opens to the bypass water, blending with the return water to bring the inlet temperature to the boiler up to 10 F.. Monitor the valve to make sure it maintains a constant temperature and does not make dramatic jumps. 5. s the return water heats up to 10 F or above, the valve will close to the bypass. 6 of 8
