SCOPE 1.1 This specification is applicable to lead and halogen free SAS series antisulphurated thick film chip resistors. 1.2 Lead free products mean lead free termination meets RoHS requirement. Pb contained in glass material of resistor element is exempted by RoHS directive. 1.3 The products are tested and passed based on the test conditions and methods defined in AEC-Q PART NUMBERING SYSTEM Part Numbering is made in accordance with the following system: 3. RATING 3.1 Rated Power Resistor Rated Power

3 Page: 3 of 3.2 Power Derating Characteristics Rated Power shall be the load power corresponding to nominal wattage suitable for continuous use at 70 C ambient temperatures. In case the ambient temperature exceeds 70 C, reduce the load power in accordance with Derating curve in Fig. 1. Fig.1 Power Derating Characteristics 3.3 Standard Atmospheric Condition Unless otherwise specified, the standard range of atmospheric conditions for making measurements and tests is as follows: Ambient Temperature = + 5 C to +35 C Relative Humidity Air Pressure = < 85% RH = 86 kpa to 106kPa If there may be any doubt about the results, measurement shall be made within the following limits: Ambient Temperature = 20 2 C Relative Humidity Air Pressure = 60 to 70% RH = 86 kpa to 106kPa 3.4 Operating Temperature Range -55 C to +155 C (SAS05-55 C to +125 C) 3.5 Storage Temperature Range -5 C to + 40 C 3.6 Flammability Rating Tested in accordance to UL-94, V-0

Take out to stabilize in room temperature for 24±2 hr or more, measure resistance variance rate. MIL-STD-202 Method 103 Solder the specimens on the test PCB board and put into the constant temperature humidity chamber with 85±2 C and 85±5%RH, apply test voltage that calculate based on 10% of rated power for 1000 hrs. Take them out to stabilize in room temperature for 24±2 hr or more to measure its resistance variance rate. MIL-STD-202 Method 108 Solder the specimens on the test PCB board and put into the chamber with temperature 125±3 C and load the rated voltage for 1000 hrs. Take out to stabilize in room temperature for 24±2hr or more, measure its resistance variance rate.

8 Page: 8 of 5 Physical Dimension Refer to clause 5.1, Dimension JESD22 Method JB-100 Measure Chip Size (L, W, H) by measuring tool. Measure conductor size with the high power microscope. 6 Resistance to Solvents Refer to clause ±(0.5%+0.05Ω) No mechanical damage, peel off of G2 overcoat, marking or Leaching problem. MIL-STD-202 Method 215 Immersed the specimens into the isopropyl alcohol of 25±5 C for minute, rinse with water and stabilize for 48 hr or more, measure its resistance variance rate. 7 Resistance to soldering heat Refer to clause ±(1.0%+0.05Ω) No cosmetic defect on terminal or peel off of side end. MIL-STD-202 Method 210 The specimens are fully immersed into the PB-Free solder pot, then take out to stabilize for 1 hour or more and measure its resistance variance rate. Temperature of solder pot : 260±5ºC Soldering duration : 10±1sec 8 ESD Refer to clause %, 1% ±(2.0%+0.05Ω) 2 2% 5% : ±(3.0%+0.10Ω) No mechanical damage, short or burning out phenomenon. AEC-Q Put the specimens on the fixture and two(2) discharges (2KVDC) shall be applied to each, put one(1) with a positive polarity and one(1) with a negative polarity. Afterwards, the specimens stabilize for 30 min or more and measure its resistance variance rate. The test is perform with direct contact and regular discharge mode, the resistor and capacitor used on the spearhead is 2KΩ and 150pF

White ceramic) shall not expose. 10 Electrical Characterization 11 Board Flex Refer to clause Terminal Strength(SMD) 13 Sulfuration Test J-STD-002 Put the specimens in the apparatus of PCT, at a temperature of 105ºC, humidity of 100%RH, and air pressure of 1.22 x 105 Pa for a duration of 8 hours, leave the specimens in room temperature for 2 hour. Test item1(solder pot test):method A The specimens are immersed into the flux first, then fully immersed into the solder pot at a temperature of 235±5ºC for 5 +0/-0.5sec. Then rinse with water and observe the soldering coverage under microscope. Test item2(leaching Test):Method D The specimens are immersed into the flux first, then fully immersed into the solder pot at a temperature of 260±5ºC for 7±0.5sec. Then rinse with water and observe the soldering coverage under the microscope. Bending dept D: 10, 16, 21 =5mm, 05, 32, 40 = 3mm 50, 63 = 2mm AEC-Q Solder the specimens on the test PCB and put them on the fixture, 1.8Kgf pushing force is applied with the test probe (dia. as R0.5)on the board and hold for 60sec, measure resistance variance rate in load. ASTM-B (Class: A) Put the test resistor in saturated vapor, at a temperature of 60±2 C, humidity 91 ~ 93%RH for 1000 hrs
