The following riteri were use to set the exmintion: 1. Knowlege of tehnologil onepts n priniples ssoite with integrte systems 2. Knowlege of tehnologil priniples ssoite with the ontrol of integrte systems 3. Unerstning of the funtion of n interreltionships etween system n its susystems 4. Unerstning of the reltionship etween tehnologil systems n the nturl environment 5. Unerstning of the role ignosis, evlution n repir 6. Unerstning of the role of esign in the proution of tehnologil system. Stuents were require to nswer ll questions on the pper. Following re omments out eh question n how mrks were ssigne. In the se of esriptive nswers, smples hve een supplie. SPECIFIC INFORMATION The following shoul e re in onjuntion with the Systems n Tehnology 2003 exmintion pper. In Question 1, stuents were require to emonstrte unerstning of their proution wk. A lrge rnge of ifferent nswers were given. The vie elow gives the etil require in nswering this question. Exmples from stuent exmintion ppers re inlue. Question 1 Nme the integrte system you proue. Pneumti n rushing system. Mrks 0 1 % Averge 0.35 Define the term integrte system. An integrte system is system me up of susystems from the mehnil n eletril/eletroni re (nswers s ove similr; mehnil inlues pneumti n hyruli). Mrks % Averge 1.51 Explin the purpose of your integrte system. The explntion of the purpose must e relte to the system nme ove. My system rushes ns. The n flls onto SPDT swith whih tivtes solenoi vlve tht llows pressurise ir through into pneumti yliner whih rushes the n. Mrks % Averge 1.34 Nme the two susystems tht me up your integrte system. The susystems nme shoul hve one susystem from the mehnil re n one susystem from the eletril/eletroni re. The SPDT swith n the two solenoi vlves. The oule ting pneumti yliner. Where stuents inlue oth susystems from the sme tegy only 1 mrk ws wre. Mrks % Averge 3.63 Drw systems lok igrm whih esries in terms of input, proess n output, the opertion of eh of the susystems you nme in 1.
