The results showed that the growth rate of the fish decreased with decreasing cultivation temperature. The fingerlings in normal temperature group presented the highest growth rate, followed by and 15 in descending order. For fish at dph, different temperature groups had similar variation trends in absolute growth ratio and growth index. For fish before 70 dph and those at dph, the normal temperature group and 19 group presented the highest absolute growth ratio and growth index, respectively. We used morphological examination and histological section to identify the ratio of males and females for fish at180 dph. The percentages of males and females were % and % in 15 group, % and % in 17 group, % and % in 19 group as well as % and % in normal temperature group. In conclusion, low temperature produced effectively higher proportions of males and 15 group was the optimum treatment group.
