2 C a n y o n T i m b e r m o u n t a i n t i m b e r Tile design artisans at Mediterranea have produced a new collection of glazed porcelain tiles as unique and life-like as the process in nature that inspired them. Using its exclusive Dynamic HD Imaging program, featuring advanced software and the very latest in digital inkjet design transfer technology, Mountain Timber glazed porcelain tiles from Mediterranea are unlike any other series available on the market. Mountain Timber has the look and appeal of fossilized wood that s been petrified, or transformed into natural stone after years buried in the earth s sediment. Mediterranea discovered this incredibly rare stone material that s next to impossible to find, and perfectly recreated the spectacular array of colors and surface textures in a glazed porcelain tile series for architects, designers and homeowners. Mediterranea has introduced the Mountain Timber series in three stunning, true-to-life color shades and two fully-rectified modern sizes of 6x24 and 12x24, complete with 2 x 2 mesh-backed mosaics that sparkle like jewelry to complement tile designs. Wild Timber, pictured here, represents Mediterranea s latest development in glazed porcelain tiles for U.S. distribution, illustrating one of the most sophisticated, visually interesting tile design options found anywhere in the world. Produced in the USA with LEED and LEED for Homes required levels of recycled content, Dynamic HD Imaging - exclusive to Mediterranea - has captured one of the rarest acts of nature and made it readily available for timely, consistent distribution. W i l d T i m b e r Mountain Timber mirrors the look of lumber, perhaps from fallen trees or even branches, which have slowly become buried underground over time. The remarkable process begins there, when colorless pure quartz crystals deposited inside the wood structure are infused with mineral-laden water. In addition to providing the actual colors, the mineral deposits will harden with time, eventually replacing the organic structure of the wood and taking on the scientific properties of real natural stone. This is certainly one stone that can t be quarried and fabricated on-demand for any type of distribution program. But Mediterranea has selected only the most beautiful samples and used digital inket printing capabilites to reproduce this extraordinary process in an easy to maintain collection of glazed porcelain tiles. For over a decade, Mediterranea, Italian-based developers and craftsman have been designing and producing tile in collaboration with the world s top factories in Italy, Spain, Brazil, Turkey, Argentina and the United States. Mediterranea has the unrivaled ability to match its unique products with the right manufacturer, surpassing competition with incredible technological capabilities, competitive pricing and outstanding U.S.-based service.
