Inatypicalscenarioreviewofthemappingatsuchasmallscalewouldbeunnecessary, however, in this instance review is necessary to demonstrate avoidance of actual endangered regional ecosystems (as opposed to that mapped) and argue, appropriately, that costly offsets are not required pursuant to SDAP code assessments (Planit,2013). EXISTINGGEOLOGYMAPPING Digital Geoscience Datasets (DNRM, 2005 Geological Survey of Queensland Geoscience Data; DNRM, 2002 SouthEast Queensland Region Geoscience Data Set; DNRM, 2011 Detailed surface geology Queensland) were reviewed in conjunction with the existing regional ecosystem mapping for the site. In this regard it is noted that the mapped RE12.3.1/ extendingintostage4fromjust southoftheexisting trackis mapped as containing sedimentary rock of the Wongaroo Subgroup.Such geology is considered reflective of, and mapped by DNRM, as being associated with Land Zone 910. Comparativelyareasofalluviumaremappedonthelowerlandsfurthersouthandtothe west and are associated with the Canungra Creek floodplain and thus these areas are consideredtobereflectiveoflandzone3.
