Tangkuban Perahu is located in the vicinity of Bandung, Capital of West Java Mt. Tangkuban Perahu (Location is 30 km north of Bandung, 2076m above sea level) Background information on the incidence BAKORNAS and BMG report that volcanic activity have decreased, but is still carefully monitoring the volcano. Poisonous gas emitting and smoke rising up from volcano crater, although decreasing is still being reported reported. The Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Board still bans the crater area offlimits to all people. Alert level is still at level III (prepare), and is being monitored. Krakatoa is Located in the Sunda Straits, West Java Province Mt. Krakatoa (Location is 16.7 S Lat and E Lon) Background information on the incidence BAKORNAS and BMG report that volcanic activity have decreased, but is still carefully monitoring the volcano. Black smoke still erupting out of Mount Krakatau, although decreasing is still being reported. Alert level is still at level II (alert), and is being monitored. The Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Board still bans the crater area offlimits to all people.
