Many projects in USA, Egypt, Syria and South America - ECOPETROL; Colombia, Evaluated Dina oil field in Colombia for petrophysical modeling to accurately determine formation water resistivity and saturation. Characterized the Villeta Formation, Loro and Orito fields in Putumayo Basin naturally fractured carbonate reservoir from core analysis up to petrophysical modeling by integrating conventional, state of the art and own developed techniques. Gave course for carbonate and naturally fractured reservoirs evaluation to ECOPETROL staff. - PEMEX; Gulf of Mexico, Consulted as a reservoir engineer, conducted formation evaluation, reservoir simulation/characterization and enhanced oil recovery on oil and gas fields including San Andres (Arenque), OCP and Arcos. GRANT RESERVOIR ENGINEERING MANGER GRANT GEOPYSICAL (GeoRes 4D); Houston, TX, Managed and implemented integrated reservoir geological/engineering characterization, modeling/simulation and optimizing recovery for both exploration and exploitation purposes including applications of 4D time laps seismic monitoring technology. AMOCO PETROPHYSICIST/RESERVOIR ENGINEER AMOCO TECHNOLOGY CENTER; Tulsa, OK, Evaluated tight gas reservoirs with their potential for formation damage and remediation. Investigated state of the art technology and advances in formation and completion damage evaluation utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach. Evaluated formation and completion damage potential/remediation of drilling, completion, and production fluids in simulated oil and gas wells. Designed and conducted integrated experiments to investigate formation and completion damage prevention, evaluation, and minimization. Refined and upgraded existing lab equipment and testing procedures. OU RESEARCH/TEACHING ASSISTANT PETROLEUM AND GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING DEPT. 3 KEPETCO PETROLEUM ENGINEER KEPETCO; Gulf of Suez/Western Desert, Consulted as a petrophysist/reservoir engineer, performed formation evaluation, reserve estimation, and production optimization on several clastic, carbonate and basement reservoirs. Conducted formation evaluation short courses and training sessions for Core Lab Int'l and Petteco. LSU RESEARCH ASSISTANT PETROLEUM ENGINEERING DEPT. LSU, Baton Rouge, LA, Research areas included; dipmeter interpretation, petrophysical evaluation of core samples, water coning in horizontal wells, practical approach for formation evaluation in oil-base mud, and reservoir simulation. BAROID GEOLOGICAL ENGINEER N.L. BAROID INTERNATIONAL, Gulf of Suez, Examined bottom hole cuttings for petrophysical evaluation and hydrocarbon shows. Evaluated well logs and updated geological maps. Analyzed formation gases, prepared mud logs, monitored drilling/casing operation, and maintained equipment in an offshore computerized unit. CORE LAB GEOLOGICAL ENGINEER CORE LAB INTERNATIONAL, Gulf of Suez, Responsibilities included; formation samples/chromatographic gas analysis, formation pressure determination, contour maps and mud logs generation, drilling cost analysis, and rig performance monitoring in an offshore conventional unit. RELEVANT TRAINING/EXPERIENCE Taught several courses in petroleum engineering and geology (petrophysics, well logging, well testing, reservoir engineering, technical writing, etc..) Keeping up-to-date knowledge of new technology and application developments. 4 ACHIEVEMENTS Successfully managed eight major integrated projects and four small consultation studies for Obelisk totaling over 5,500,000 USD. Made major contribution in granting Obelisk, in cooperation with Odegaard, a 500,000 DKK from the Government of Denmark as a first phase with commitment of extension to 3.5 Million DKK over the second phase. Managed international team of petroleum experts in conducting several projects for SUCO, Geisum, and Rashpetco in Egypt. Founded Obelisk consultation firm in Egypt and managing its success since Successfully characterized the naturally fractured reservoirs of Loro and Orito fields in Colombia contributing to their success in finding millions of barrels of bypassed oil. Successfully characterized two bypassed carbonate reservoirs for Qarun Oil Co. in the Western Desert. The reservoirs were perforated in one well and produced at a rate of over 2500 bbl/day. Managed integrated geological/engineering characterization international team efforts with Grant Geophysical. Characterized heterogeneous naturally fractured reservoirs utilizing own developed novel technique for PEMEX. Contributed in saving over 45 Million Dollars of drilling costs for AMOCO in Sharja, UAE, through optimization of drilling fluids, preventing formation and completion damage and increasing the well value. Successfully recommended using oil-base mud additives to reduce filtrate invasion; Amoco technology center. Saved many drilling trips by correctly identifying the target zone and the washed basement; Core Lab and N.L. Baroid. Trained and supervised new personnel; N.L. Baroid and Obelisk. Successfully organized international conference in Cairo (39 oil companies and organizations) for the OU Red Sea Gulf of Aden Geosciences Consortium and other conferences.
