Multi-skill software for Planning, Following-Up and Post Analysis of wells. Calculation and presentation of the Well Plan Recalculate and update the prognosis during drilling including geology information. Insert information about Drilling and Well-bore Stability problems and other depth related information After completion: Final Well Report, Post Analysis and Experience Transfer is an open system, both used by the experts for in-depth analysis, and by the Well Site Geologists and other for every day well applications. A common platform for Presentation and Calculation of Depth Related Data for Exploration and Production Wells. in Action is used by several companies world wide like Norsk Hydro, PDVSA, Conoco, TotalFinaElf, IFP, Chevron, Intevep, BP-Amoco and more In the North Sea, on 4th generation rigs. In land operations in Texas - USA. On barges and rigs in Venezuela under extreme an-isotropic stress regimes. In deep water operations in Angola. is used both on the rig and on land, for Planning and Follow-up of Pore pressure and Well Bore Stability: On Scarabeo 5 - drilling the deepest Wildcats in the North Sea (Sea water 1435mRKB) The Troll Field 3 to 4000 metres horizontal completions with little integrity The Snorre Field Calculate Pore pressure and Stability for depleted reservoirs Training from ITC a.s One and two days training courses using Workshops with users from both oil companies and service companies Training in Pore pressure prediction, and Well-bore Stability Drilling Training for Geologists and Engineers. Page 2
The use of in Oil & Service Companies Data Collection before planning Any kind of depth related data and logs can be used in. Logs can be in any ASCII or LAS format. The following are from a presentation by Norsk Hydro of their use of in the planning phase. Note, this is an example of data used, not required data in! From Location Sonic and density logs converted from seismic data. Can be used to calculate Overburden and Pore pressure for exploration wells. Correlation Data from Neighbour Wells PP, FG,OB, MW, GAS, DXC, LOT, GR, CALI, RES, RHOB, HPHI, SONIC, WOB, ROP, RPM Drilling reports and more. Geological summary. Input from Drilling Operation Support Group Rock mechanical / Well-bore Stability aspects of drilling problems Pore pressure vs. Rock mechanics. Fracture and Collapse calculations leading to a safe mud weight window. Other input Structural map and Cross section plot. Page 3
The Well Plan Process Calculate the Overburden (integration from density logs) Calculate the Pore pressure using trend lines on sonic, resistivity or d- exponent logs. (Eaton method, Matrix or Ratio Quick look method) Well-bore Stability prognosis calculate Fracture and Collapse (Mohr Columb failure criteria) Follow-Up during Drilling The Following-up in can be done by the Well Site Geologist or/and an Expert Team at the base. Update Geological information Merging new log sections to the project Update the Pore pressure and Well-bore Stability prognosis Report Drilling events and problems Post Analysis and Experience Transfer When the drilling is completed, all the following data will be available in one format: All planning data and all the actual data from this well (logs, geological information, drilling problems and more). This makes the ideal tool to achieve more knowledge from a field, thus efficient experience transfer. Analysis Capability A project handles 200 logs Cross Section Plot with 15 wells Edit logs as text or visually using click and drag / copy and paste. It is easy to make generic logs Stress analysis using Breakout analysis from calliper logs Page 4
User-Defined Calculations In your can define your own log calculations. Make the calculation, test it and place it in the menu system (unlimited number of calculations). This means that when a calculation is made and tested, it is easy to for everyone to use it! User-Defined Calculations can: Consist of up to 50 lines of complex mathematics and functions Be performed on up to 8 logs at the time The user can insert constants Do a calculation in a given interval and merge the result to an existing log for example in depleted zones. Do a calculations with boolean expressions with regard to other logs or lithology The design window to make and test the User-Defined Calculations Plus database connection Plus is an optional add-on to. What you get is a powerful Database system integrated in. The databases acts as a source pool for logs, geologic information, bit and casing information, LOT/FIT tests, and all kind of depth related information. This gives you several new possibilities: Searching and using logs and other information from other wells are fare more faster than in Standard. For example, with a Well Plan you can now set up an extra column with all tight hole problems from a field. Searching data is fast and easy. Logs are compressed to increase speed and to minimise storage space. Page 5
Other Software from ITC a.s LOT Analyser LOT Analyser is a program for reading fracturing tests and interpreting Leakoff, Shut-In, Propagation, and Maximum pressures. The program interacts with a database (same as Plus) where all the tests along with the results and other information such as quality stamp on the test are being stored. Triax Solver Triax Solver is a program for reading triaxial data and interpreting Young s Modulus Poisson s Ratio Axial Stress at Failure Residual Stress The data and results are stored in a Database Computer Based Training CBT for Petroleum Technology The CBT system as of today covers topics like Well Control Drilling Technology Cement and Casing Formation Evaluation Geology Production Theory Fluids and more ITC has used these CBTs for training of offshore personnel for many years, from Well Site Geologists to Drilling Engineers.
