5 The Effect of Regularperiodof Corrective Exercises on Spinal Columns Position in Dyspraxia Students Saeid Teimori, 1 Fahimeh Keavanloo, 2 Mohammad Seyedahmadi, 3 Mohsen Koushan, 4 Akbar Pejhan 5 Received: 20/Dec/2011 Accepted: 30/Dec/2011 Background: spineabnormalitiescan caused severe restrictions on the movement of dyspraxia students.therefore in this study investigated the effect of aregular period of corrective exercises on spinal columns deformities in dyspraxia students. Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, spinaldeformities information of 150girlsand 220boys with dyspraxia were evaluated. Then studentsparticipated ina12-week highbreedingprogramsat the end theirdeformitieswere evaluated again. For data analysis descriptive statistics T tests and Pearson correlation in significance level of 0/05 and SPSS software( 16 version) was used. Results:In generalresults showedthat thedyspraxia6/16percentprevalencehad(in girls5percentandboys7/33percent) andthe prevalence ofabnormalitiesin thesechildren havebeen considerableso that60percent ofboysand63/33percentofgirlshadspinalabnormalities. The results showed that the corrective movement have been able to significantly reduce abnormalities in both groups (p<0/006). Conclusion: The results show that the corrective exercises could reduce and correct spinal abnormalities in these children. Keywords: dyspraxia, skeletalabnormalities, kyphosis. 1.
