Sanand Branch Canal crosses Irana-droda drain at Ch It emanates from Narmada Main Canal at Ch Km near VillageVansol, Ta. Kadi, Dist. Mehsana. RL mt and runs upto tail near village. Chharodi, Ta. Sanand, Dist. Ahmedabad RL mt. There are Paddy, Cotton, Juvar, Pulses, Wheat, Vegetables, Gram, Linseed Crops generally being shown in the command area of this canal. The soil in command area is of SM, SM-SC, CL, SC & CI. It serves ICA out of in the total

2 command area of (GCA) The general slope of command are is flat. There are 8 Nos of falls with total mt dropdepth of all falls, constructed on the canal to traverse the geography. The canal was constructed between 1998 to 2004 of a total cost of lacs. It is capable of running discharged at head cumecs ( cusec) and at tail cumecs ( cusec) Total volume of structure concrete LCM was used, total volume of C.C. lining (0 to km cm. & to km.7.0 cm thick) 4.50 LSM was used & total earthwork LCM was done in constructing this canal. There are 18 nos of bridges, 5 nos of Nala crossing and no river crossing locate at the canal for passing through the region. This canal serves 1.33 lacs people of 64 villages of Kadi Taluka of Mehsana District, Sanand & Viramgam taluka of Ahmedabad district & Kalol Taluka of Gandhinagar district. There is no water supply network constructed by the GWSSB on this canal. There is no minor/sub minor canals built for tank filling.
