ASSESSMENT - GEOCHEMICAL REPORT September, 989 PM CLAIM PAGE INTRODUCTION: General : This report describes the results of a short "follow-up" geochem and prospecting program carried out on the PM claim. This work was carried out to follow-up the results of soil geochem sampling carried out in 988. (See: "Geochemical Report on the PM Claim, by R. MacArthur, dated September 988") The work described here was carried out by the author and G. Klein. The purpose of this program was to attempt to locate the source of geochem anomalies outlined in 988, and follow-up occurrences of copper molybdenite bearing float located in the drift near the northeast corner of the property. Location & Access: The PM claim is located on the headwaters of Philip Creek approximately 56 kilometres southwest of Mackenzie and 35 kilometres northwest of Prince George, B. C. Access is provided by logging roads (Philip Mainline Road) from Windy Point on Highway #97 near Mackenzie. Claims & Ownership: The property consists of one 0 unit claim staked by Gerry Klein in 987. The property was explored by Noranda under an agreement with Mr. Klein. The relevant claim information is as follows: Claim Record # # Units Record Date Owner PM June 5, 987 G. Klein

ASSESSMENT - GEOCHEMICAL REPORT September, 989 PM CLAIM PAGE Topoqraphy, Veqetation, Glaciation: The area is one of moderate relief with elevations ranging from 5 meters along the west side of the property to 975 meters in the valley near the northeast corner of the property. Hills are rounded and largely drift covered. Until recently, the area was heavily forested with mature stands of spruce and balsam. Recent clear cutting has left large areas with no timber cover. The network of roads and clear cut areas are indicated on Figure #3. In most of the area, soil has developed from glacial drift which varies greatly in depth from less than one meter to in excess of 5 meters. In the southwest corner of the property, glacial stria indicating a northeasterly movement for ice in that area. The location and orientation is indicated on Figure #3. Reqional Geology: Since most of the area is extensively drift covered, little is really known about the geology. The most detailed published map of the area is G.S.C. Map #04A, at a scale of :53,440. This mapping indicates the area of the PM claim is probably underlain by rocks of the Wolverine Complex (granitoid gneiss, micaceous, garnetiferous chloritic schists, pegmatite, feldsparthized quartzite, etc.). This mapping also indicates a series of northwest and northeast trending fault structures that form fault bounded rhombohedra shaped blocks. The observations made during this present follow-up suggests that at least the northwest half of the property is underlain by Jurassic-Triassic rocks of the Takla Group. Outcrops of andesitic flows and volcaniclastics typical of the Takla Group are indicated in Figure 3. Previous Work: The only record of previous work on the property is the geochem sampling program carried out by Noranda in 988. (See Introduction)., Small scale placer mining has been attempted in the Philip Creek Valley north of this claim.
ASSESSMENT - GEOCHEMICAL REPORT September, 989 PM CLAIM PAGE 3 GEOCHEMICAL FOLLOW-UP: Sample Collection: Soil Samples - were collected from the "B" horizon using a small qrub hoe or soil auqer. Samples were placed in "Hi Wet Strength", 3 / x 6 /8", open end gusseted-envelopes, on which sample number were recorded. Samples were air dried and shipped to Acme Analytical Laboratories for analysis. Silt Samples - were collected from the active stream sediment at the locations indicated. The same sample bags and sample treatment was used for silts as for soil samples. Rock Samples - were collected in 8" x " plastic bags which were marked with the six digit sample number. All sample sites were flagged with orange survey ribbon on which the six digit sample number was written. Analysis: All samples were analyzed by the I.C.P. method for the 30 element suite indicated on the analysis certificates and Au analysis was carried out by atomic absorption. The analysis were carried out by Acme Analytical Laboratories of Vancouver. Digestion techniques are indicated on the Analysis Certificates in Appendix. Results: Rock Samples One day was spent prospecting the area of anomalous Cu values that lies along the north side of the base line (see Figure 3 ). This prospecting led to the discovery of four mineralized float samples with anomalous Cu, Mo, Ag, Au as indicated below. All samples were small, highly weathered and difficult to determine much about the host rock type. I
ASSESSMENT - GEOCHEMICAL REPORT September, 989 PM CLAIM PAGE 4 (ppm) (ppm) (ppm) (ppb) SAMPLE # Mo cu Aq Au COMMENTS cm boulder, very rusty altered schist? (see Fig 3) Rusty-basic schist with Mo and Cu stain Sheared basic Volcanic 30 Not analyzed-saved as Rusty basic schist with type sample. much Mo-Cu stain and fine grained Molybdenite and Chalcopyrite Sample site next to soil 30, which indicated 89 ppm Mo in soil. Complete 30 element I.C.P. analysis for the above along with results of two other rocks are indicated in the appendix, while locations are plotted on Figure 3. Soil Samples Some 6 soil samples were collected at locations as indicated on Figure 3. Primarily, these were intended to try to extend and further define the anomalous Cu zone along the north side of the baseline ("Central Cu Anomaly Area") as indicated by the 988 sampling. The definition of this anomalous area is hampered by the swampy area as' indicated by the "NO Sample" locations on Figure 3. As a result, this additional sampling did little to further define the anomaly. Five samples (30 to 34) were collected near the western claim boundary to test a zone of rusty pyritic schistose andesites exposed in the logging road cut. Results show no values that warrant follow up. Silt Samples Four silt samples were collected as shown on Figure 3 (sample # 303, 304, 3, and 34). The most significant result of these samples was sample # 3, with a value of 00 ppm Cu and 594 ppb Au. As this sample was collected from the swampy area between lines 900E and 9600E, it further enhances the anomalous area.
ASSESSMENT - GEOCHEMICAL REPORT September, 989 PM CLAIM PAGE 5 RECOMMENDATIONS: Detailed geological mapping, magnetometer and Induced Polarization surveys should be carried out. The area along the north side of the baseline should be the main target area at this time. Further soil sampling and prospecting on the property will probably develop other target areas.
