3 Introduction The Grandpa claim, tenure number , is a 10 cell claim comprising hectares in the Lillooet Mining Division. The claim was staked on February 4 th, 2010 by Mark Douglas Mooney. Topographic relief in the claim area ranges from a low point at Maiden Creek, approximately 900m, to 1200m in the northwest corner. A ridge runs east west along the property and all relief slopes down towards the similarly trending Maiden Creek. Several small drainages, trending north west, are found along the property. These drain into the larger Maiden Creek which is located approximately 500m south of the claim boundary. The area is dry, receiving less than 100mm of rainfall and less than 100cm of snowfall per year. The climate is best described as semi arid; forestation is not dense. Prospecting work is suitable for approximately eight months of the year beginning in April. Location and Access The Grandpa claim covers Ha with the following coordinates: NW: SW: NE: SE: Access to the property is good with the claim being located approximately fifteen kilometres north of Cache Creek, BC along the #97 Caribou Highway. Access to the property is via the 4800 logging road which is accessed through a small, privately owned segment of road on farmland. Permission from the owners is needed to enter the property via this route. The town of Cache Creek, BC is located approximately fifteen kilometres to the south of the claim and the town of Clinton approximately 25km north of the claim. Both towns rank as fair to good for an exploration base with populations of 1,000 and 500 respectively. Lodging, fuel, food and able bodied workers are available in both towns. Kamloops, a historic mining hub, is forty five minutes away by vehicle. The claim location is shown on Map 1. Geology The claim lies in the Permian to Middle Triassic Cache Creek Terrane of the Canadian Western Cordillera. The British Columbia Geological Survey maps identify two lithologic units in the area with the contact passing through the western portion of the claim on a northwest southwest trend. The western lithologic unit is the Permian Triassic Marble Canyon Formation (PTrCM) of the Cache Creek Complex. It

4 comprised of limestone, marble and calcareous sedimentary rocks. The eastern lithologic unit is classified as undivided sedimentary rocks (Ks) of Cretaceous age. The BCGS maps identify two faults, both trending northwest southeast and with an unknown sense of movement, within the claim. One fault identifies the contact between the two lithologies. The second fault runs sub parallel to the contact. A topographically notable gulley and associated drainage appears to be related to the fault. Several other small drainages are found across with property; all of which trend in the same direction as the faults. Summary Reconnaissance work was conducted on the property on January 8 th and 9 th, 2011; however, exploration work was limited by significant snow cover. The property perimeter was driven to the extent that was possible by using forestry roads. Three of the four property corners were visited and marked with flagging tape. One sample was collected from a road cut in the south east corner of the property. Also, one stream sediment sample was collected from a small stream on the western portion of the property. Both samples were assayed for gold at ALS Laboratories in North Vancouver, BC. The author visited Maiden Creek, which lies 500m south of the claim and panned sediment in the creek. Approximately two kilograms of material were panned and one small particle of gold was found. Sample locations are shown on Map 2. Conclusion The assayed sample results indicated trace amounts of gold in both samples. Given visible gold in the stream sediment contrasting with assayed results, the author believes there may be a coarse gold problem. Sample procedures must be reviewed prior to further work on the claim. Based on the limited scope of the work conducted so far and the results, the author believes this area warrants further work. Specifically, a much more intense sampling program should be conducted concentrating on collecting sediment samples from the drainages which run parallel to the contact. The area should also be much more intensely prospected for any evidence of hydrothermal activity and sampled accordingly. The tenure was renewed to facilitate further exploration.
