3 Executive Summary The Tulameen River and Granite Creek have a history of gold and platinum production dating from 1860 and mining has occurred sporadically since then, The Stone Mountain Group of claims are located in an elevated valley that generally runs west to east parallel to the Tulameen River. This valley has historically been called Roany Creek and it has been suggested it was an ancient outlet of granite creek left high and dry by geological events. Trenching was performed in 2007 and 2008 and the presence of water worn gravels at about 15 meter depth gives evidence to this theory. There are marl beds that are the remains of lakes on the upper three tenures that also support the theory that this valley is an ancient watercourse. Samples from the trenches were taken at various levels and some were tested on site. Freezing weather halted sampling on site and the rest were taken to Kelowna for processing. Gold and platinum were found in most samples. In 2010, Stone Mountain applied for a Notice of Work to conduct a bulk testing program. The application was rejected by the Ministry of Energy, Mines & Petroleum due to lack of detailed maps and concerns with terrain stability. We have retained Mr. McPherson and Mr. Richards for professional and technical expertise for the 2011 application. 3

4 Introduction This report describes the location, terrain and the testing program carried out on the Stone Mountain claims in 2007, 2008 and This report will be used by the owner of the Stone Mountain Claims for the continual development of the properties, to document the work carried out and for registration of the placer tenures. This report was prepared and submitted by Jerry Miller for Kim Powell who has 30 years of placer mining experience. Robert A. McPherson Phd, P.Geol, P.Eng with 40 years of exploration and development experience and Dennis Richards with 25 years of mapping and road layout experience, (GIS & ARC certified), were retained for geology research and for mapping services. 5 Property Description The Stone Mountain Group of claims consists of six placer tenures; , , , , and The claims cover an area of approximately 300 hectares and are located in an elevated valley that is thought to be the ancestral course of Granite Creek. The western most tenure is about 270 meters above the present level of Granite Creek and about 2.5 km upstream from its confluence with the Tulameen River. The claims are situated in a valley that has no historic use or occupation by any First Nations Groups and has there are no fish bearing creeks or lakes on the tenures, therefore, there are few impediments to mining activity. There is a private property owner at the east end of the tenures and any testing programs have been done after consultation and in cooperation with this owner. Google Earth Map of Tenures 5

8 Accessibility and Climate The property is located south east from the town of Coalmont. Coalmont is a 17 km drive on the paved Tulameen Coalmont road heading North West from Princeton. To access the property from Coalmont, cross the Tulameen River Bridge and take the first left for 2 km to the Granite Creek Bridge. Cross the Granite Creek Bridge and turn right onto Tolko Forest Service Road and go approximately 2.5 km to a landing on the left side of the road. This landing is on the west end of tenure (See picture # 4). The climate is typical of the southern interior, with moderate winters, low snowfall and dry summers. Vegetation the property is widely spaced Yellow Pine and Douglas Fir with some dense thickets of Red Alder. The ground cover is mostly grass and because of the sparse vegetation, snow melts quickly and surface streams dry up completely by July. History Gold was discover on the Tulameen River in 1860 and in 1885 gold was found in Granite Creek. A significant amount of platinum was recovered along with the gold but was discarded for many years until its value was realized. The Stone Mountain Property was not thoroughly explored or tested, as access was difficult until the Tolko Forest Service Road was built. Traditionally placer mining required significant amount of water and this was not conveniently available on the property. The valley does have a seasonal pond, (see picture # 1), and a large spring that is the source of Roany Creek. This creek runs on the 8

9 surface for about 2 kms and then goes back underground to join the Tulameen River below water level. This confluence produced a significant amount of gold and platinum in the early 1900 s, but water availability was always a problem. In 2009, during the trenching program on tenures a hand dug and cribbed shaft 15 meters deep was discovered. We were unable to find any historic documentation on this shaft. On tenure , piles of stacked boulders were found as evidence of hand mining. The size of the trees growing among the piles suggests this mining was done prior to 1930, but no reference was found to substantiate this. According to local history, the marl beds on tenure were mined and hauled to the Fraser Valley to neutralize acidic soils. There is some discrepancy as to whether this occurred in the 1930 s or the 1940 s. Project Geology The Roany Creek valley generally parallels the Tulameen River and is about 6 kilometres long. The Stone Mountain group of claims cover the entire length. The west end of the claim group is about 270 meters above the present level of Granite Creek and slopes to the east at about 25 meters per kilometer. This slope is considered ideal for placer gold concentration and with evidence suggesting that the Roany Creek valley was protected from the last glaciation due to it orientation, there is good reason to believe significant gold and platinum will be found in this high valley. 9

10 Deposit Type and Mineralization Evidence that has been obtained from trenching and pits excavated verifies the deposit is of Tertiary origin. The upper 8 to 12 meters of materials on tenures & are loose dirt and large angular scree that has sloughed down from the steep walls of the valley. This material was sampled and found to contain very low values of gold or platinum. Under the 8-12 meters of material, is a layer of dense clay varying in thickness from 10 centimetres to 1 meter. (See picture # 3). This clay contains platinum prills up to 2 millimetres in diameter, but no gold was found. The clay varies in colour from black to blue and the blue coloured clay contained significantly more platinum that the black material. Below the clay layer are water worn and sorted gravels. The platinum found in the samples from this gravel is dendritic and is attached to host rock with chromites or nickel sulphide present. Some platinum prills and flakes were also found in these samples. These same samples contained gold in the form of rough flattened flakes, the largest being 3 millimetres across, but the majority is about 1 millimetre and approximately half of the flakes were attached to the host rock. The ratio of gold to platinum is about 1 to 1 in most of the samples processed. On tenure in the upper marl deposit evidence was found of a hand dug and cribbed shaft (see picture # 2). The shaft has caved in and sloughed almost full. Test pit dug next to the shaft revealed the marl to be 4 meters deep at this location. The Marl is underlain by a layer of large rounded boulders. The excavator used to dig the pit was too small to remove these boulders, so the material under this layer is untested. 10

11 Sampling Method and Approach In 2007 hand samples were dug and tested on site by screening and panning on tenures , , & Each sample showed gold and platinum. Event number In 2008 approximately 8 cubic meters of samples were taken from various locations and 25 kilogram samples were taken from each trench at 3 meter intervals. Event number Some samples were processed on site with a Rototec Spiral recovery machine and a 7.5 inch Knelson Concentrator. Other samples were transported to Kelowna in documented 20 litre pails and stored until 2009 and they were processed in the same manner. Event number Gold and platinum were qualified in all samples. Conclusion and Recommendations The trenches and pits excavated in previous years suggests this is an ancient course of Granite Creek. Placer gold and platinum was found in most samples. Samples taken from the bottom 6 meters of the trenches were significantly richer than the samples taken near the surface. As a large area of the Stone Mountain group has not been tested to date a bulk testing program should be conducted to prove the quantities of gold and platinum. Enough gold and platinum have been recovered from the testing programs to warrant a bulk test program.
