5 INTRODUCTION: The Sheridan Hill property is located within the municipal boundaries of the city of Pitt Meadows in the Lower Mainland of southwestern BC. It is located southeast of the Pitt River, immediately south of Lafarge Canada s Pitt River Quarry. The property comprises of 1 mineral tenure and is road accessible year around. Coast Mountain Geological was retained by Sheridan Hill Ventures Ltd. to conduct a geological investigation on their property in the Pitt River Area. Preliminary geological investigations were conducted on the property to assess its geological and aggregate potential. LOCATION The Sheridan property is located between the Pitt and Alouette Rivers, 6 km north of the city of Pitt Meadows in the Lower Mainland (Figure 1). The property covers the southern extension of Sheridan hill, a 2km long rock outcrop. The property is road accessible year around by way of the Lougheed Highway (Highway 7), turning on to Harris Road, then McNeil Road. The area around the property is farmland and small acreages. The area is generally flat lying with few hills, Sheridan Hill being the highest point in the area at 70 m above sea level. On the north side of Pitt River and points further north are the Coastal Mountain Range. CLIMATE The property is located in the Lower Mainland of southwestern British Columbia. The region s climate is a moderate coastal climate characterized by cool summers and mild winters. Annual precipitation is roughly 2200 mm in the form of rain. Snowfall is rare. Winter temperature mean is 1.8 Celsius and the mean summer temperature is 17.5 Celsius. TENURES AND OWNERSHIP The property consists of 1 mineral claim, tenure number , wholly owned by Sheridan Hill Ventures (Figure 2, Table 1). The surface rights are also owned by Sheridan Hill Ventures. The claim is hectares in size. Lafarge Canada owns two mineral claims immediately north of the Sheridan Hill Property. The claims are part of the Pitt River Quary which occupies the northern portion of the hill. The quarry produces approximately 1 million tones of crushed rock annually (Fieber 2011). 6 GEOLOGY The property is underlain by alluvial and flood plan sediments with only Sheridan Hill expressing the bedrock in the area. The underlying bedrock is composed of Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous aged light grey, medium grained crystalline biotite-rich quartz diorite to granodiorite with minor hornblende part of the Coast Mountain Plutonic Suite (Figure 3). The unit is ubiquitous through the area, although much of the bedrock in the area is covered by alluvium. The quartz diorite is generally massive and uniform with minor weathering patches. There are three widely spaced joint sets: the first one is dips steeply to the west, second one dips to the north and a flat plane dipping to the south. The only alteration visible is weak chloritic alteration along the edges of hornblende and a weak Fe-stained rind on the weather surface due to the interaction between the humic acids and mafic minerals (biotite and hornblende). No sulphides were observed in outcrop or hand specimens. WORK PERFORMED One geologist spent half day on the property mapping the outcrops and taking samples. Joint orientations were also taken. Attention was paid to alteration and sulphide mineralization of the units to determine to what degree, if any, alteration or mineralization was present in the rock. Samples were collected for reference but not submitted for geochemical analysis. Sample descriptions can be found in Appendix I. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATION Sheridan Hill property is underlain by a light grey, medium grained biotite quartz diorite with minor hornblende There is little observable mineralogical variation in the diorite unit on the property No mineralization was observed on the property Quartz Diorite is blocky with widely spaced joints, generally 1-2 joints per metre Recommend a set of short drill holes to test for ARD bearing rocks.
