The fossils consist of conchostracans, ostracods, bi2 valves, fish, insects, p lants, vertebrates, etc. B ased on the regional stratigraphic investigation, measuring geolog2 ical section and synthetic study of the fossils new ly collected in the Daxishan site, the authors have assured the sed2 iments belonging to the Tiaojishan Formation aged in M iddle Jurassic, and the form ation is underlying the Yixian Form ation stratigraphically. The fossil assemblage of the Tiaojishan Formation indicates the characters of the M iddle Jurassic Yanliao B iota.
