Which of the following statements is NOT true about the alternation of generations life cycle? a. Meiosis produces spores that are haploid. b. Spores develop into the gametophyte generation. c. The challenging question had a low percentage of correct. These questions all have some sort of comparison that students have to analyze before selecting the answer. Some even require past material to answer the question. Data collection will continue in Fall of 2013.

Fall 12 28/33 (84.8%) What I thought was an easy question, a medium-difficulty question, and a hard question; it looks like all three of the questions were about the same difficulty. The middle question is from the final exam while the other 2 are from the second exam. Maybe the higher score on question 2 comes from relearning the material for the comprehensive final. The results from this year are about the same as the results from 2 years ago. Questions 1 and 3 appear to be decent but question 2 may be ambiguous or I am not relaying the material as well as I should. I may go over my lecture notes again and see if I can alter the way I am explaining certain topics.
