1 Nebagamon Lodge Quarterly Newsletter, issue 1, vol 62 About the Editor Hello my name is Travis Flesher and I am the editor for the Nebagamon newsletter. I am a Life scout and I have completed Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow. I plan great things for the upcoming newsletters and hope to make the newsletter fun! Special points of interest: 2012 OA Lodge Banquet The OA Awards The OA Banquet is where people from all around the lodge and get together and have dinner and get awards for what they have done in that past year. Many people got together and had a lot of fun with the food and the awards. Some people got embarrassed at some points during the slideshow made by Travis Flesher (Chuck Marzka). Our MC Nicolas Alvar has done very well at this banquet. Amazingly there was a lot more food than last year. So you tummy's are full now. Local sources say that people did not go hungry this year, aka EVERYONE. -Travis Flesher 12 OA Lodge Banquet LLD went Great! Have an article? Send it in! More info on last page. What is NE- SWAG-A-MON? Spring Ordeal The Spring ordeal is coming Soon! Get ready to have the time of your life! Get Brotherhood! If you want to go to the ordeal then you have to have registration turned in to the scout office by the may 4, You can find a copy of the registra- tion form, online at under the forms section. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

3 Local Summer Camps! Located at the base of Mt. Potosi, About 35 minutes southwest of Las Vegas and 15 to 20 Degrees cooler than Las Vegas, beautiful Kimball is an ideal place for Scouts looking for adventure and advancement. Taking a step back into the past, Kimball has been renovated to resemble and old mining town. The adventure begins with over 30 merit badges to choose from, and advancement programs designed to get your younger Scouts up to first class rank. A great traditional camping experience34 for boys of all ages awaits you and your Scouts at Del Webb. Older boys will push the limits of their ability while hiking or backpacking on Zion s west rim, Narrows, Angels Landing, and the Subway. Other features include mountain biking through pines and aspens, climbing and rappelling, kayaking, sailing and wind surfing. Learn to shoot black powder, action archery, trail camping and geocaching. This is the best-kept secret in the west. High above Kingman, Arazona, in the Hualapai Mountains, sits a Scouting gem. At over 7,000 feet, roam through the camp. The biggest bargain in Scouting in found at the Levi Levi. Scouts will be climbing and rappelling to take advantage of the amazing rock formations all around Levi Levi and hiking on the several of the beautiful trails.
4 N e b a g a m o n Order Of The Arrow LLDc We all had fun at Kimball Scout Reservation for the Nebagamon OA LLDC and we were trained on leadership skills, had great food, enjoyed awesome team building games, Watched movies that exemplified leadership, and even participated in Indian dances. The LLDC was required for all lodge leadership to attend but anyone who wishes to gain leadership skills and knowledge can attend. The dances that was taught by Alex Godwin and Brice Walters was a really fun and exciting. It was fun and a learning experience of the Indian culture of dancing. Many of participants dancing had a lot of fun. The movie that we watched Friday night was Star Trek Ne-Swag-A-Mon The word Neswagamon came from a conclave 1 year ago when Nebagamon didn t want to the chant Nebagamon 312 so we added Neswagamon It s What we do! and we were really amused by everyone on how they reacted to the new chant. Conclave 2012 is going to be here so if you want to go and make Great memories come on down a participate in the best Conclave in 1 Year!!! See your lodge and ask for the sign up sheet! -Travis Flesher
